The responded by chanting \u201cFewer! Fewer!\u201d to which Wilders replied \u201cWe\u2019re going to take care of that,\u201d\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-wilders-discrimination\/dutch-lawmaker-wilders-appeals-discrimination-conviction-idUSKCN1II14W\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to Reuters<\/a>. Geert now accuses prosecutors of trying to limit his freedom of speech.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"nl\" dir=\"ltr\">Morgen hoger beroep.<br \/>Waar het islamisten nog niet lukt bij mij, probeert het OM alvast de vrijheid van meningsuiting om zeep te helpen.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow my appeal in court. <br \/>While islamists so far are unsuccessful to kill me, the public prosecutor tries to kill the freedom of speech. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/3dnozH4ot3\">pic.twitter.com\/3dnozH4ot3<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Geert Wilders (@geertwilderspvv) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/geertwilderspvv\/status\/996782181212131328?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 16, 2018<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWhat the Islamists haven\u2019t been able to do to me, the prosecutors are trying to do anyway: destroy freedom of expression,\u201d Wilders said in a tweet before his appeals hearing began.<\/p>\n<p>Geert-Jan Knoops, Wilders\u2019 lawyer, argued at the beginning of the proceedings that prosecutors had applied a double standard to Wilders and that they had \u201cselectively applied\u201d to him the standard by which they determine whether speech is discriminatory.
