That\u2019s according to <a class=\"inline_asset\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wealthx.com\/report\/the-wealth-x-billionaire-census-2018\/?utm_campaign=billionaire-census-2018&amp;utm_source=press&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_term=bc-2018-press&amp;utm_source=press&amp;utm_medium=referral\">The Wealth-X Billionaire Census 2018<\/a>, which finds that \u201cthe billionaire population and their wealth soared to record levels in 2017.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The United States accounts for 25 percent of the global billionaire population, <a class=\"inline_asset\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wealthx.com\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wealthx.com\/\">Wealth-X<\/a> finds though it\u2019s home to just over 4 percent of the world\u2019s total population.
