Iranian Vice President for International Affairs Ali Saeedlou has participated in the swearing-in ceremony of Ecuador\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s President Rafael Correa in the South American country\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s capital, Quito.\n<\/p>\n
Addressing reporters on Friday, the Iranian vice president called for strengthening the amicable bonds between Tehran and Quito.\n<\/p>\n

Fifty-year-old Correa, a member of an alliance of left-wing Latin American presidents, won re-election in February with about 57 percent of the vote. <\/p>\n
The leftist leader has brought stability to the Latin American state, which saw seven presidents over the course of ten years before Correa came to power.\n<\/p>\n
Major Latin American nations have enhanced their diplomatic and trade ties with Iran in recent years. The promotion of all-out cooperation with Latin American countries has been among the top priorities of the Islamic Republic’s foreign policy over the past few years.\n<\/p>\n
