And by \u201cfought the patriarchy\u201d I mean \u201cgetting the patriarchy\u2019s attention.\u201d What better way to wage war than by engaging in the opposite of a sneak attack? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Feminists are replacing the element of surprise with bare breasts and thongs. If only George Washington had thought of this lesser known strategy. Instead of crossing the Potomac\u00a0in the middle of icy winter, General Washington should\u2019ve enlisted the most classless lasses the 13 colonies had to offer. Ripping their corsets to quickly deploy their\u00a0mammaries. Red Coats would\u2019ve been flabbergasted by the bewb flappage. Imagine the paintings splashed across high school textbooks. She presented <a href=\"https:\/\/reason.com\/blog\/2018\/05\/10\/cornell-student-underwear-thesis-chai\">her senior thesis and fought patriarchy by flipping off her closet full of clothes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>A female student at Cornell University stripped down to her underwear\u2014twice\u2014before presenting her senior thesis to professors and other students.<\/p>\n<p>The student was attempting to strike a blow against the patriarchy, repudiating her media arts professor\u2019s advice to dress up for the presentation<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Here\u2019s what the professor said in response:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI do not tell my students what to wear, nor do I define for them what constitutes appropriate dress,\u201d Maggor later clarified in an email to the\u00a0<em>Sun<\/em>. \u201cI ask them to reflect for themselves and make their own decisions.\u201d Indeed, the syllabus warns students to \u201cdress appropriately for the persona\u201d they plan to present.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Makes sense. Your outward appearance is a representation of who you are. No one knows this better than ladies, who fret and worry about their wardrobe and <em>what to wear!<\/em>\u00a0every damn day.
