{"id":354154,"date":"2018-03-28T00:35:27","date_gmt":"2018-03-27T23:35:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rinf.com\/alt-news\/newswire\/migrants-are-taking-a-new-route-through-bosnia\/"},"modified":"2018-03-28T00:35:27","modified_gmt":"2018-03-27T23:35:27","slug":"migrants-are-taking-a-new-route-through-bosnia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/rinf.com\/alt-news\/newswire\/migrants-are-taking-a-new-route-through-bosnia\/","title":{"rendered":"Migrants Are Taking a New Route Through Bosnia"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"\">\n<p><em>Borna, Defend Europa, 27 March 2018<\/em><\/p>\n<p>A new Balkan route through Bosnia has opened up for migrants: from Greece to Albania, then on to Montenegro and Herzegovina.<\/p>\n<p>This route, according to a western diplomatic source, matches the one taken by weapon and drug traffickers, which reveals that human smuggling networks have also been established.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" height=\"315\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/V5A6Gdc0eXw\" width=\"560\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h4>Paying their way to Europe<\/h4>\n<p>One migrant, Ahmed Wessam, who spoke to AFP in Sarajevo, left the northeastern Syrian town of Hassake a month ago after paying people smugglers to get him to Europe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA thousand dollars (800 euros) to go from Turkey to Greece, a thousand euros to go from Greece to Albania and so on.\u201d Another example that the people coming to Europe have a choice of where they can go and are not fleeing their country because of prosecution.<\/p>\n<p>According to Bosnian authorities, since the beginning of the year, 700 migrants have entered the country illegally and almost 800 were intercepted at the border.
