{"id":350856,"date":"2018-03-05T10:10:02","date_gmt":"2018-03-05T09:10:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rinf.com\/alt-news\/newswire\/prison-planet-com-fbi-denies-secret-comey-obama-meeting-raises-integrity-and-public-trust-issues\/"},"modified":"2018-03-05T10:10:02","modified_gmt":"2018-03-05T09:10:02","slug":"prison-planet-com-fbi-denies-secret-comey-obama-meeting-raises-integrity-and-public-trust-issues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/rinf.com\/alt-news\/newswire\/prison-planet-com-fbi-denies-secret-comey-obama-meeting-raises-integrity-and-public-trust-issues\/","title":{"rendered":"Prison Planet.com \u00bb FBI Denies Secret Comey-Obama Meeting Raises Integrity and Public Trust Issues"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>      <!-- START CONTENT --><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2018\/03\/01\/fbi-denies-secret-comey-obama-meeting\/\"><strong>Daily Caller<\/strong><\/a><br \/>March 2, 2018<\/p>\n<p><strong>The FBI states it will not expedite the release of documents about secret meetings between FBI Director James Comey and former President Barack Obama, according to a letter the bureau sent to The Daily Caller News Foundation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Such information is not \u201ca matter of widespread and exceptional media interest in which there exists possible questions about the government\u2019s integrity which affects public confidence,\u201d\u00a0David Hardy, the section chief for the bureau\u2019s Record\/Information Dissemination Section, told TheDCNF in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/372732210\/E204a2694f5e0405573d6e22cb15c0ce52a319cd4-Q27199-D1996769\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Feb. 26 letter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>TheDCNF, under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), requested records of all meetings between Comey and Obama and sought an \u201cexpedited process\u201d as provided under the act when issues are of great interest to the media and the records address issues pertaining to government integrity. TheDCNF FOIA request was filed Feb. 16, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The issue prompting the FOIA request was the disclosure Comey held a secret Oval Office meeting with Obama on Jan. 5, 2017.
