Footage of Pontiff causes controversy<\/p>\n
Paul Joseph Watson<\/strong> A bizarre video has emerged of Pope Francis appearing to perform an exorcism on a man in St Peter\u2019s Square.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The footage was shot following Pentecostal mass on Sunday 19th May.<\/p>\n The clip shows a priest explaining something to Pope Francis about the man, who is in a wheelchair, before the Pope becomes serious and places his hands firmly on the man\u2019s head.<\/p>\n While pushing the man down into his chair, the Pontiff recites a prayer and the man opens his mouth while making strange guttural sounds.<\/p>\n Although the process takes less than 15 seconds, the man in the wheelchair appears overwhelmed before the Pope moves on to the next person.<\/p>\n According to an exorcism expert quoted by La Repubblica, \u201cIt was a prayer of liberation from evil or even a real exorcism.\u201d<\/p>\n However, the Vatican has denied that the footage shows Pope Francis performing an exorcism, claiming that he was merely saying a prayer for the man.<\/p>\n The Pontiff has\u00a0repeatedly made it clear that he believes in Satan<\/a>, whom he refers to as \u201cthe prince of this world,\u201d as a real force who needs to be opposed on a constant basis.<\/p>\n Francis is already on record as having performed previous exorcisms.
