This is a sickness that has infected the country. Unchecked and unfettered gun violence,\u201d Lemon exclaimed during a monologue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo you feel safe tonight? There\u2019s another fact that we need to face. Every single one of us is just playing the odds at this point.\u201d the CNN host declared.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1vCnb-bDh54\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Lemon continued the hyperbole unabated, stating that \u201cthe odds that in a country of 325 million souls that we won\u2019t be the ones who get hit by the next bullets that start flying. We won\u2019t be the one that gets that phone call about someone you love who did. Your son, your daughter, your brother, your sister, your spouse, or your parent, even a friend. Anyone you know. The phone call that changes your life. But with every deadly shooting in this country, the odds get worse and worse and worse.\u201d<!-- [donotprint] --><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ppani\">\n<li>A d v e r t i s e m e n t<\/li>\n<li\/><\/ul>\n<p><!-- [\/donotprint] --><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAre you really willing to keep playing those odds?\u201d Lemon asked CNN viewers, presumably now shaking with fear, and barricaded in their closets against the bullets flying all around their heads.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYour life is too precious for that. The lives of our loved ones are too precious. The lives of the people in our cities and towns are too precious. Have we forgotten that life is a gift,\u201d Lemon further pondered.<\/p>\n<p>The host ran off a list of other shooting incidents and declared that \u201cThis is what we are right now. But is this really who we want to be?
