The move comes as lawmakers reauthorized government surveillance powers.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The House Intelligence Committee passed the motion introduced by Rep. Peter King (R-New York) Thursday. The measure was voted on along party lines, with all Democrats voting against the motion to make the classified report available to all House members.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI viewed the classified report from House Intel relating to the FBI, FISA abuses, the infamous Russian dossier, and so-called \u2018Russian collusion.\u2019 What I saw is absolutely shocking. This report needs to be released \u2013\u2013 now. Americans deserve the truth. #ReleaseTheMemo,\u201d<\/em> Rep. Mark Meadows of North Carolina said Thursday night about the 4-page memo, reported <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/news\/national\/republicans-release-secret-russia-probe-surveillance-memo-article-1.3765727\">New York Daily News.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Congressman Meadows was joined by other lawmakers who saw the memo, and who are pressing for its public release. The hashtag <em>#ReleaseTheMemo<\/em> has gone viral on social media.<\/p>\n<p><strong\/>Intercept journalist Glen Greenwald weighed in to tell conservatives they were falling for a fraud.<\/p>\n<div class=\"rtcode\"><center><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Dear conservatives: you cannot fall for this fraud they&#8217;re perpetrating on you. Carter (@SaraCarterDC) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SaraCarterDC\/status\/954204928800645122?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 19, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/center><\/div>\n<p>Weighing in was lone Democrat Representative Adam Schiff (California), the ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee, called the report <em>\u201ca profoundly misleading set of talking points drafted by Republican staff attacking the FBI and its handling of the investigation.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong\/><em>&#8220;Rife with factual inaccuracies and referencing highly classified materials that most Republican Intelligence Committee members were forced to acknowledge they had never read, this is meant only to give Republican House members a distorted view of the FBI,&#8221;<\/em> Schiff said, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/national-security\/369721-gop-reps-demand-release-of-shocking-surveillance-memo\">The Hill.<\/a><em>&#8220;This may help carry White House water, but it is a deep disservice to our law enforcement professionals.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong\/>House Oversight Committee member, Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) told Fox News it should be released because it doesn\u2019t reveal sources or methods and that it shows <em>\u201chow this whole collision thing was going on during the campaign.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Florida Republican Rep. The bill, already passed by the House, is now heading to the White House where President Donald Trump has said he will sign it into law.<\/p>\n<p>An irony not lost on whistleblower and former NSA intelligence analyst, Edward Snowden<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIf this memo had been known prior to the vote, FISA reauth would have failed.
