Stimulating someone\u2019s\u00a0brain with magnetic pulses is enough to change their\u00a0taste in music, according to new research.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Using\u00a0a non-invasive technique called\u00a0transcranial\u00a0magnetic stimulation, Scientists\u00a0managed to change the enjoyment of music felt by their subjects.<\/p>\n

Not only did the treatment alter the way participants rated music, it even affected the amount of money they were willing to spend on it.<\/p>\n

Showing that the way people value music can be changed using this technique is \u201can important \u2013 and remarkable \u2013 demonstration that the circuitry behind these complex responses is now becoming better understood,\u201d said Professor Robert Zatorre, a neurologist at Canada\u2019s\u00a0McGill University and\u00a0senior author of the\u00a0Nature Human Behaviour\u00a0<\/em>study<\/a>.<\/p>\n
