{"id":335985,"date":"2017-11-21T13:38:33","date_gmt":"2017-11-21T12:38:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rinf.com\/alt-news\/newswire\/white-house-makes-reporters-give-thanks-before-asking-questions-rt-us-news\/"},"modified":"2017-11-21T13:38:33","modified_gmt":"2017-11-21T12:38:33","slug":"white-house-makes-reporters-give-thanks-before-asking-questions-rt-us-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/rinf.com\/alt-news\/newswire\/white-house-makes-reporters-give-thanks-before-asking-questions-rt-us-news\/","title":{"rendered":"White House makes reporters \u2018give thanks\u2019 before asking questions \u2014 RT US News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>        Reporters have taken to social media to troll White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders after she made journalists share what they were \u201cthankful for\u201d before they were allowed to talk turkey. <\/p>\n<div>\n<p>On Monday, Huckabee Sanders began the last White House <a href=\"https:\/\/www.c-span.org\/video\/?437611-1\/secretary-tillerson-still-hope-diplomacy-north-korea&amp;start=1599\">press briefing<\/a> before Thanksgiving by sharing what she was thankful for, adding that <em>\u201cit would be nice\u201d<\/em> if the press pool did the same before they asked their questions.<\/p>\n<p>Huckabee Sanders\u00a0expressed thanks for her family, her faith, the military and the first responders who <em>\u201ckeep us safe here at home.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cObviously, you probably know, and it&#8217;s not secret, that I&#8217;m clearly very thankful for all of you here in the room, and I think that goes without saying,\u201d<\/em> Huckabee Sanders said. <em>\u201cAnd I&#8217;m certainly thankful for the incredible privilege of serving this president and the American people.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Huckabee Sanders then laid down the ground rules, telling reporters that it was <em>\u201conly fair\u201d<\/em> that they should also say what they are thankful for before they could ask a question.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIf you want to ask a question, I think it\u2019s only fair since I\u2019ve shared what I\u2019m thankful for, that you start off for what you\u2019re thankful for,\u201d<\/em> Huckabee Sanders said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"arcticle__read-more read-more\">\n<p>Read more<\/p>\n<p>    <a class=\"read-more__link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rt.com\/usa\/406530-kelly-briefing-not-quitting\/\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n                    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"read-more__cover\" src=\"https:\/\/cdni.rt.com\/files\/2017.10\/thumbnail\/59dfd9ecfc7e9371248b4568.jpg\" alt=\"White House Chief of Staff John Kelly takes questions from the media while addressing the daily briefing at the White House in Washington, U.S., October 12, 2017. \u00a9 Kevin Lamarque\"\/><br \/>\n    <\/a>\n<\/div>\n<p>While the majority of the reporters said they were thankful for their families and friends, others seemed to troll the press secretary.<\/p>\n<p>First, Huckabee Sanders first called on American Urban Radio Networks&#8217;
