{"id":331721,"date":"2017-10-23T14:29:14","date_gmt":"2017-10-23T13:29:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rinf.com\/alt-news\/newswire\/never-go-to-a-family-movie\/"},"modified":"2017-10-23T14:29:14","modified_gmt":"2017-10-23T13:29:14","slug":"never-go-to-a-family-movie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/rinf.com\/alt-news\/newswire\/never-go-to-a-family-movie\/","title":{"rendered":"Never Go to a Family Movie"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t                            \t<!-- S3 Cache -->\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>I rarely see a modern \u201cfamily movie\u201d (since they are usually decidedly anti-family), but as it was one of my children\u2019s birthdays, we went to see \u201cThe LEGO Ninjago Movie.\u201d \u00a0How could a movie about Lego ninjas be anti-family?\u00a0 I took a chance.\u00a0 Well, it was as bad as they come.<\/p>\n<p>From the very beginning, the father was the caricature of an evil uncaring absentee dad.\u00a0 To drive the point home (in case you missed it), they went the extra mile and gave him devil horns, red eyes, dressed him in black, made him a greedy capitalist, and had him live in a fire-and-brimstone volcano lair.\u00a0 Well, I gave him a chance.\u00a0 Maybe he was an homage to Darth Vader and would turn around in the end.<\/p>\n<p>Soon, the mother appears on scene and is referred to as the dad\u2019s \u201cex.\u201d\u00a0 OK.\u00a0 Divorced couple.\u00a0 Real cutting edge story-line so far.\u00a0 Certainly, the mom wouldn\u2019t be evil or at fault for anything even though 70% percent of real-world divorce filings are by wives choosing to disband their own families in favor of state-promised happiness and prosperity.<\/p>\n<p>The motherly-love scenes with the divorc\u00e9e are long and ooey-gooey.\u00a0 She lavishes undying love on her son, placing herself in stark contrast to the horrendous father.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cmi-gold-silver.com\/blog\/buy-old-us-gold-coins\/?utm_source=LRC_Text_Ad&amp;utm_campaign=buy_old_us_coins\">Time to buy old US gold coins<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The son, a secret ninja, whose special power is \u201cgreen\u201d (he doesn\u2019t learn what his \u201cpower of green\u201d is until the end of the movie) endlessly hopes his dad will love, remember, and respect him and teach him dad things like throwing a ball.\u00a0 Fat chance.\u00a0 The dad tells his son that he knows how to do all the dad things, but he chooses to simply belittle his son for not knowing them.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the ugly loveless devil-image of a dad is ejecting unappreciated employees into the stratosphere&#8230;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lewrockwell.com\/2017\/10\/david-hathaway\/divorce-anthem\/\">Read more<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I rarely see a modern \u201cfamily movie\u201d (since they are usually decidedly anti-family), but as it was one of my children\u2019s birthdays, we went to see \u201cThe LEGO Ninjago Movie.\u201d \u00a0How could a movie about Lego ninjas be anti-family?\u00a0 I took a chance.\u00a0 Well, it was as bad as they come.
