A survey last year revealed that some 450,000 British kids were gambling on a weekly basis. <\/p>\n<div class=\"article__text text  js-mediator-article\">\n<p>A total of 450 gambling operators, including William Hill and Bet365, received a letter that warned them of strict but unspecified sanctions if they fail to comply.<\/p>\n<p>The address was signed by regulators the Gambling Commission, the Advertising Standards Authority, the Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) and the Remote Gambling Association.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe are writing to advise you to amend or remove immediately any ads on your website or in third party media that are likely to appeal particularly to people aged 17 or younger\u2026 and generally available to view,\u201d<\/em> the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk\/PDF\/Ltr-from-ASA-CAP-CG-RGA-final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">letter<\/a> read.<\/p>\n<div class=\"arcticle__read-more read-more\">\n<p>Read more<\/p>\n<p>    <a class=\"read-more__link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rt.com\/usa\/365039-resort-worlds-casino-slot\/\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n                    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"read-more__cover\" src=\"https:\/\/cdni.rt.com\/files\/2016.11\/thumbnail\/58194adcc46188f21e8b456f.jpg\" alt=\"\u00a9 Stephane Mahe \"\/><br \/>\n    <\/a>\n<\/div>\n<p><em>\u201cThis relates particularly to freely accessible ads for play-for-free and play-for-money games and includes all graphics and images displayed on a website or in third party media,\u201d<\/em> it added.<\/p>\n<p>he regulators mentioned such products as \u201cPiggy Payout,\u201d \u201cFluffy Favorites\u201d and \u201cPirate Princess\u201d as examples of gambling games that may appeal to children due to their <em>\u201ccolors, cartoons and comic book images, animals, child and youth-orientated references.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cYou must immediately amend or remove any freely accessible ads on your website or in third party media space that are likely to appeal particularly to under-18s,\u201d<\/em> the letter read.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in October, the Sunday Times reported that many British gambling sites have exploited a loophole in the regulations, which allowed them to legally release games aimed at children.<\/p>\n<p>The included a free-to-pay mode in their products, which required no age verification, and was used to introduce children to the whole concept of gambling, the paper said.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rt.com\/viral\/390519-twitch-50k-stock-market-game\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">READ MORE: Risk-free gambling?
