Hospitalized because of supplies given by the council from their food donation point, which they hadn\u2019t checked the sell-by date.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt\u2019s an absolute disgrace. And that\u2019s just one aspect of all the things still going wrong every day.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The council says it is investigating the allegation.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rOCOvrMHX_c\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>At the meeting, the RBKC voted unanimously to terminate its contract with the Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organization (TMO) as it <em>\u201cno longer had the trust of residents.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"arcticle__read-more read-more\">\n<p>Read more<\/p>\n<p>    <a class=\"read-more__link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rt.com\/uk\/402358-bidding-grenfell-tower-resident\/\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n                    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"read-more__cover\" src=\"https:\/\/img.rt.com\/files\/2017.09\/thumbnail\/59b16a0cdda4c8bb558b4568.jpg\" alt=\"\u00a9 Ray Tang \/ Global Look Press\"\/><br \/>\n    <\/a>\n<\/div>\n<p>Dent Coad welcomed the decision, saying TMO is <em>\u201cabsolutely not competent\u201d<\/em> to do it. She said its replacement must involve a full consultation with tenants and not just <em>\u201clip service.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The council\u2019s response to re-housing victims is<em> \u201cshocking,\u201d<\/em> and many people are still <em>\u201cdesperate, stuck in hotels,\u201d<\/em> she added.<\/p>\n<p>During the heated meeting, council leader Elizabeth Campbell defended RBKC council\u2019s track record of rehousing survivors. <em>\u201cThis is not a time for haste, this is a time for getting it right,\u201d<\/em> she said.<\/p>\n<p>Campbell said 30 families are now in permanent accommodation, while a further 52 households have accepted an offer in principle. She said the council had bought 120 homes, while a further 20 purchases were in the hands of solicitors, and 20 more are under negotiation.<\/p>\n<p>There were cries of<em> \u201cshame\u201d<\/em> from members of the public, while one heckler yelled: <em>\u201cYou move into a tower block then.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Grenfell Tower blaze is thought to have killed 80 people on June 14.
