On Tuesday, President Trump gave a \u201cstark UN speech,\u201d according to ABC News<\/a>, in which he\u00a0threatened to \u201cdestroy\u201d North Korea. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) called the threat \u201cbombastic\u201d and added that it was a \u201csevere disappointment\u201d which \u201conly further isolates\u201d the United States. NBC News<\/a>\u00a0panted, \u201cThe speech was a nationalist appeal.\u201d<\/p>\n

It seems Trump hit a nerve when he said during his speech, \u201cRocket man [Kim Jong-un] is on a suicide mission for himself and his regime. The United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea.\u201d<\/p>\n

These words have sent the media and Democratic politicians into hysterics. But it all shows just how short-term everyone\u2019s memories are. Here\u2019s a flashback to just last year \u2014 April, 2016, to be exact \u2014 when then-President Obama said EXACTLY THE SAME THING<\/a>. At the time, \u201cRocketman\u201d had tested a submarine-launched missile and was also\u00a0boasting\u00a0about its nuclear capabilities. Obama responded:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe could, obviously, destroy North Korea with our arsenals, but aside from the humanitarian costs of that, they are right next door to our vital ally, [South] Korea.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

So, what\u2019s the difference? Well, if it came from Obama\u2019s lips, then it was the right thing to say. But out of Trump\u2019s mouth \u2014\u00a0he\u2019s ushering in World War III. See how this works?<\/p>\n
