British Prime Minister David Cameron is reportedly to vote against his own planned Queen\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s Speech in a desperate bid to make as many people as possible aware how keen he is to hold his EU referendum.\n<\/p>\n
A number of Conservative MPs have tabled amendments to the next week\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s Queen\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s Speech, in a move unprecedented since 1946.\n<\/p>\n
The proposals call for the inclusion of a government pledge to hold an EU vote in 2017 in the government\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s policy this year in the form of a piece of law.\n<\/p>\n
According to The Sun<\/i>, Cameron is appeasing them with a planned support for the amendments.\n<\/p>\n
“This amendment backs up his policy, which is a Conservative Party policy, so why shouldn’t he vote for it too,\u201d the paper quoted a Downing Street source as saying.\n<\/p>\n
The suggestion signals to Cameron\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s party members that he wants the in-out referendum on the EU even before the 2015 general election, but the only obstacle he is facing are his coalition partner Nick Clegg and his Liberal Democrat party.\n<\/p>\n
