{"id":313110,"date":"2017-06-16T16:54:44","date_gmt":"2017-06-16T15:54:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rinf.com\/alt-news\/newswire\/9-of-the-worlds-10-least-peaceful-nations\/"},"modified":"2017-06-16T16:54:44","modified_gmt":"2017-06-16T15:54:44","slug":"9-of-the-worlds-10-least-peaceful-nations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/rinf.com\/alt-news\/newswire\/9-of-the-worlds-10-least-peaceful-nations\/","title":{"rendered":"9 of the World\u2019s 10 Least Peaceful Nations"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>The<a href=\"http:\/\/visionofhumanity.org\/indexes\/global-peace-index\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> annual Global Peace Index<\/a>, recently released for June 2017, has found that while the world is more peaceful now than last year, violence has increased significantly overall in the past decade.<\/p>\n<p>Although the situation has improved in many countries, the ten lowest-ranking nations \u2013 known as the world\u2019s \u201cleast peaceful\u201d countries \u2013 have shown little change in recent years.<\/p>\n<p>However, nine of those ten countries share one commonality in the violence that they\u2019ve experienced: U.S.-led destabilization efforts and regime change operations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Syria,<\/strong> <strong>Iraq and Afghanistan: Targets for regime change and manufactured sectarianism<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cmi-gold-silver.com\/blog\/buy-old-us-gold-coins\/?utm_source=LRC_Text_Ad&amp;utm_campaign=buy_old_us_coins\">Time to buy old US gold coins<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Syria, which ranked last in the June 2017 index, has been in the throes of<a href=\"http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2017-04-09\/us-ambassador-un-regime-change-syria-now-top-priority-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> a U.S.-led regime change effort<\/a> for the better part of six years \u2013 a conflict that has ravaged one of the most prosperous nations in the Middle East and <a href=\"http:\/\/theantimedia.org\/mainstream-media-finally-admits-syrian-conflict-is-us-russia-proxy-war\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">turned it into the latest battleground<\/a> for a proxy war between the U.S. and Russia.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. has been planning the overthrow of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad at least as far back as 2006.
