Ex-FBI director\u2019s testimony only appears to have helped the president<\/p>\n

There is less chance of Donald Trump being impeached after the Comey hearing according to one major betting site, suggesting the former FBI director\u2019s testimony has if anything helped the president.<\/strong><\/p>\n

U.K.-based bookmaker Ladbrokes has lengthened Trump\u2019s odds of being impeached to 4\/7, changed from the previous 4\/5, meaning he is less likely to be impeached after today\u2019s events.<\/p>\n

The Financial Times\u2019 Matthew Garrahan confirmed the news in a tweet.<\/p>\n

Despite leftists eagerly anticipating the spectacle, with some expecting it to signal the beginning of the end for Trump, Comey\u2019s testimony only seems to have solidified the president\u2019s position.<\/p>\n

Pro-Trump accounts across Twitter were buoyant after the testimony, pointing out that Comey only seems to have presented more headaches for himself and Democrats.<\/p>\n

According to Attorney Jonathan Turley<\/a>, Comey appears ton have violated the law in admitting he \u201cintentionally used a \u201cfriend\u201d on the Columbia law faculty to leak his memos to the media.\u201d<\/p>\n

Comey also confirmed that Donald Trump was never under FBI investigation, disproving media assertions that he was.<\/p>\n

The former FBI Director also acknowledged<\/a> that Obama\u2019s Attorney General Loretta Lynch pressured him to \u201cdownplay the Clinton email server investigation\u201d.<\/p>\n

All in all, another bad day for Democrats and more vindication for Trump, which is why his chances of being impeached \u2013 which were practically zero anyway \u2013 have now all but disappeared.<\/p>\n
