It wants to <em>\u201cimplement school-based medical checks on girls at high risk of suffering FGM. These should take place annually and whenever they return from trips overseas.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The party is also calling for parents of girls who are subjected to FGM, which is illegal in Britain, to face prosecution.<\/p>\n<p>It pledges to <em>\u201cmake failure to report instances of FGM by someone who has knowledge that it has taken place a criminal offence itself\u201d<\/em> and for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) to <em>\u201coperate under a presumption of prosecution any parents whose daughter has undergone FGM.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Gn2nE3nith0\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The announcement comes as the party pledged to ban Islamic face coverings in public places in Britain, saying they are a <em>\u201cdeliberate barrier to integration and, in many contexts, a security risk too.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>UKIP also wants Sharia law to be banned, and for a legal commission to be created to work to disband Sharia courts. It says Sharia law is<em> \u201cidentified as a rival legal system which undermines women\u2019s rights.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The party has announced that any rape or grooming offense where the perpetrator is a different race should be an <em>\u201caggravating factor\u201d<\/em> and treated as a hate crime to ensure longer prison sentences.<\/p>\n<p>UKIP\u2019s education spokesperson, David Kurten, said until there was <em>\u201cbetter integration\u201d<\/em> in Britain, <em>\u201cthere should be a moratorium on new Islamic schools.\u201d<\/em> He also called for the immediate closure of schools where there is <em>\u201cevidence of Islamist ideology being taught or imposed on children.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The proposals still need to be approved by the party\u2019s <em>\u201cpolicy scrutiny team\u201d<\/em> and may not make it into UKIP\u2019s official general election manifesto.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rt.com\/uk\/385930-ukip-burka-ban-fgm\/?utm_source=rss&amp;utm_medium=rss&amp;utm_campaign=RSS\">RT<\/a>.
