I say it\u2019s better to get along with Russia than not, and if Russia helps us in the fight against ISIS \u2013 which is a major fight \u2013 and the Islamic terrorism all over the world, that\u2019s a good thing,\u201d<\/em> Trump answered.<\/p>\n \u201cWill I get along with him? I have no idea.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n O\u2019Reilly then challenged Trump, calling the Russian president \u201ca killer.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Trump shrugged the comment off, saying: \u201cThere are a lot of killers. We\u2019ve got a lot of killers. What, do you think our country is so innocent?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n It is not the first time that Trump has made such comments when journalists question his stance regarding the Russian leader.<\/p>\n At the end of 2015, the host of MSNBC\u2019s Morning Joe told Trump that Putin \u201ckills journalists,\u201d<\/em> to which the unfazed then-presidential candidate replied, \u201cI think that our country does plenty of killing, too, Joe.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve always felt fine about Putin. He\u2019s a strong leader.
