Anti-Trump protests turned violent, with black-clad rioters throwing rocks at police, smashing windows, and setting a car on fire. Police responded with stun grenades, pepper spray, tear gas, and rubber bullets.<\/p>\n<p>A group called #DisruptJ20 organized most of the protests Friday and the violence was not spontaneous.<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Caller <a href=\"http:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2017\/01\/14\/inauguration-protesters-plan-to-destroy-property-and-disrupt-balls\/\" target=\"_blank\">reported<\/a> a week before the inauguration that protesters were planning to destroy property. One protester,\u00a0Tom Faison, told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/local\/public-safety\/protesters-who-destroyed-property-on-inauguration-day-part-of-well-organized-group\/2017\/01\/21\/096678c8-dfeb-11e6-ad42-f3375f271c9c_story.html?utm_term=.b459e1fbcc4b\" target=\"_blank\">The Washington Post<\/a> that the property damage was done with \u201cnuance and intention.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Post also reported that a majority of the arrested protesters were not residents of Washington, D.C., Maryland, or Virginia.
