We\u2019re going to put sanctions together that hit [Russian President Vladimir] Putin as an individual and his inner circle for interfering in our election,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000\">The US senator further claimed that the alleged meddling in the 2016 vote was not the only case worth prosecution, arguing Moscow&#8217;s practice is common across the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000\">\u201cIt\u2019s just not in our backyard. [Russia\u2019s] doing it all over the world, not just the United States.
