The egg from the biological mother, which has already been fertilized with sperm through IVF, is then placed inside the surrogate\u2019s womb.<\/p>\n<p>Jenkins was 18 when she had her eggs frozen before the cancer treatment began. Three years later, her mother has given birth to her healthy baby, Jack.<\/p>\n<p>He was born weighing 6lb 10oz to Bradford, who is already a mother of three.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cAny mother would do this for their child,\u201d<\/em> Bradford said.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIf cancer couldn\u2019t beat us, there was\u00a0 no way I wasn\u2019t having a baby for Jessica.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Jenkins and her husband Rees decided to pursue IVF earlier this year after she had been in remission since the summer of 2014.<\/p>\n<p>She was diagnosed in 2013 after doctors initially told her she was too young to have cervical cancer.<\/p>\n<div class=\"arcticle__read-more read-more\">\n<p>Read more<\/p>\n<p>    <a class=\"read-more__link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rt.com\/uk\/354090-pregnant-transgender-man-fertility\/\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n                    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"read-more__cover\" src=\"https:\/\/img.rt.com\/files\/2016.07\/thumbnail\/579e2c06c3618823708b456e.jpg\" alt=\"Thomas Beatie was the world's first pregnant man. \u00a9 F A C T\"\/><br \/>\n    <\/a>\n<\/div>\n<p><em>\u201cThey managed to take 21 eggs before I started chemo but only 10 survived, and they were made into embryos and grown for two weeks then frozen.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIn May this year we had an embryo defrosted and implanted into my mother\u2019s womb for her to be the little oven helping our Jelly Bean grow.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Jenkins, from Wales, was at her mother\u2019s bedside during the birth of her son.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cMy mom is the most brave and amazing woman in the world. I love her so much for giving me my son,\u201d<\/em> she told the Mirror.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cFrom a young age I longed to become a mother and our dream has come true. Jack is perfect in every way.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Doctors originally thought Jenkins had thrush when she told them she was experiencing bleeding and painful sex, but repeat visits revealed a tumor on her cervix.<\/p>\n<p>The family have not ruled out having further children.
