WikiLeaks has released the 25th batch of emails from Hillary Clinton\u2019s campaign chair, John Podesta.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0latest tranche<\/a> consists of almost 2,500\u00a0emails, bringing the number released so far to almost 42,000. WikiLeaks has claimed it will publish 50,000 emails in total in the run up to the US presidential election on November 8.<\/p>\n Yesterday\u2019s emails revealed that Anthony Weiner was a cause for concern within the Clinton campaign as far back as 2011. Emails from the former congressman\u2019s laptop are key to the FBI\u2019s decision to reopen an investigation into Clinton\u2019s use of a private email server.<\/p>\n ‘Dump all those mails’<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cWe are going to have to dump all those emails,\u201d<\/em> Podesta tells Clinton aide Cheryl Mills in an email<\/a> dated March 2, 2015, a week before Clinton addressed the email scandal at a press conference, claiming there was no classified material sent via the private server.<\/p>\n It\u2019s not clear which emails Podesta is referring to in the thread, but Podesta tells Mills: \u201cbetter to do so sooner than later\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n Mills replies: \u201cThink you just got your new nick name.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n \u2018The power of torture\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThere is something to be said for the power of torture,\u201d<\/em> Clinton aide Neera Tanden tells Podesta in a July 2015 email<\/a> showing her frustration over Clinton\u2019s use of a private email server.<\/p>\n Tanden had previously told Podesta that whoever told Clinton she could use the server should be \u201cdrawn and quartered\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n Ground Bernie \u2018to a pulp\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n Podesta is told \u201cBernie needs to be ground to a pulp\u201d<\/em> in an email<\/a> advising him of tactics for dealing with Clinton\u2019s rival for the Democratic nomination, Bernie Sanders.<\/p>\n The mail from campaign consultant titled \u2018Friendly advice.
