A militant rocket attack on Qayara<\/b> air base left no
\ncasualties but was tested for chemical
\nagents<\/a>. One of the two initial tests given was positive for a mustard
\nagent, but the second was negative. The rocket fell within hundreds of yards of
\nU.S. troops. The soldiers sent out to locate were given decontamination
\ntreatment and did not show any signs of poisoning. <\/p>\n

Finance Minister Hoshiyar Zebari <\/b>lost<\/a>
\na no confidence vote in Parliament over corruption allegations. Zebari,
\nformerly the foreign minister, took over the post two years ago when Prime
\nMinister Haider al-Abadi formed the new government. Considerable economic
\nfallout could result from his removal. <\/p>\n

The leader of the Yazidi<\/b> sect, Prince Tahseen
\nSaeed Ali<\/b>, assured<\/a>
\nvictims of the Islamic State that they will be welcomed home. ISIS\/Daesh
\ncaptured thousands of women and children, subjecting them to slavery, rape, and
\nforced marriages. Although many escaped or were rescued, over three thousand
\nare still in custody. The offer also extends to any babies born during their
\ndetention.<\/p>\n

About 12 villages have been freed<\/a>
\nduring operation around Shirqat<\/b>. There are reports<\/a> that
\nShirqat itself has been liberated, but they may be premature.<\/p>\n

Four villages were liberated<\/a>
\nin Anbar province.<\/p>\n

At least 60 were killed and 19 were wounded<\/b>:<\/p>\n

In Shirqat<\/b>, five
\nsecurity personnel and one civilian were killed<\/a> during operations. Twelve
\nsecurity personnel and three civilians were wounded<\/a>. A Daesh
\nmilitary official and two aides were killed<\/a> in artillery fire. Five
\nDaesh guards were killed<\/a>, and 40 of their prisoners were liberated at a
\njail. At least 22
\nmore militants were killed<\/a> in fighting, but the number is likely much higher<\/a>.
\nSeveral civilians reported<\/a>
\nbeing lashed after waving white flags to Iraqi forces.<\/p>\n

A bomb killed two
\nsecurity personnel and wounded four<\/a> in Mashada<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Fifteen
\nmilitants were killed<\/a> during fighting in Kasarat<\/b>. <\/p>\n

Security personnel left four
\nmilitants dead<\/a> in Baghdadi<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Gunmen at a Rashidiya<\/b> checkpoint killed
\nthree militants<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In Mosul<\/b>, unidentified men killed<\/a> several
\nguards and then burned down a Daesh publishing company.<\/p>\n

Dozens of militants were killed<\/a>
\nin Doulab<\/b>.<\/p>\n
