In a brutal attack against the Democratic Party, who he claims has been controlling inner city areas for <em>\u201ca hundred years straight,\u201d<\/em> Trump said a <em>\u201cnew agenda\u201d<\/em> was needed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe Democratic Party has run the inner cities for 50, 60, 70 years and even a hundred years straight,\u201d<\/em> he said, speaking to his supporters. <em>\u201cWe are on a mission of change. That includes a new agenda for our inner cities.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>He mentioned that inner cities in the US have become <em>\u201ca mess,\u201d<\/em> while he accused Democratic politicians <em>\u201clike Clinton\u201d<\/em> of <em>\u201ctaking these voters for granted.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cYou can go to war, you can go to Afghanistan. You can go to war-torn countries and you will find that it\u2019s safer than being in the middle of some of our inner cities,\u201d<\/em> he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To rousing cheers from around the arena, he urged black voters to <em>\u201cgive Donald Trump a chance,\u201d adding that \u201cyou have nothing to lose, it can\u2019t get any worse,\u201d<\/em> after citing poverty rates for African Americans living in inner city areas.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt\u2019s time to break with the bitter failures of the past and embrace a new American future,\u201d<\/em> he said. <em>\u201cThat means great jobs, great schools and great neighborhoods, and it also means safety.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sdnmY6wQiho\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time that Trump has blasted the crime rates and safety levels in some of the country\u2019s inner city areas. During a speech in August in the blue-collar city of Akron, Ohio, he said that <em>\u201cin war-zones in countries that we are fighting\u2026 it is safer than living in some of our inner cities that are run by the Democrats.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Trump also said that if elected, he will help to make US cities safe again.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe\u2019ll get rid of the crime. You\u2019ll be able to walk down the street without getting shot.
