Parliament announced<\/a>
\non Tuesday the start of a corruption investigation. In response to it, Prime
\nMinister Haider al-Abadi banned six lawmakers, including Speaker Salim
\nal-Jabouri<\/b>, from traveling while the corruption allegations are
\ninvestigated. However, Parliament rejected it, saying the premier could not
\nimpose the ban. On Monday, Iraqi Defense Minister Khalid al-Obeidi<\/b>
\nappeared in Parliament to address allegations of corruption in his ministry. He
\nblamed<\/a>
\nsix others, including his original accuser, of corruption and claimed they were
\nblackmailing him.<\/p>\n

At least 57 people were killed<\/b>:<\/p>\n

In Baghdad<\/b>, militants shot three
\nwomen to death<\/a> at a home in Hayy al-Nasr<\/i>.<\/p>\n

Militants executed
\na pregnant woman<\/a> who was fleeing Marir<\/b> village and arrested four
\nchildren who were with her.<\/p>\n

Security forces killed
\n28 militants<\/a> on Khalidiya Island<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Twelve
\nmilitants were killed<\/a> in a strike on Rawa<\/b>.<\/p>\n

In Mosul<\/b>, an airstrike killed
\nsix militants<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Airstrikes on Rashad<\/b> left four
\nmilitants dead<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Three militants
