{"id":252327,"date":"2016-06-27T11:22:47","date_gmt":"2016-06-27T11:22:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rinf.com\/alt-news\/?p=252327"},"modified":"2016-06-27T11:22:47","modified_gmt":"2016-06-27T11:22:47","slug":"federal-court-rules-govt-can-hack-your-computer-without-a-warrant-no-probable-cause","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/rinf.com\/alt-news\/latest-news\/federal-court-rules-govt-can-hack-your-computer-without-a-warrant-no-probable-cause\/","title":{"rendered":"Federal Court Rules Govt Can Hack Your Computer Without a Warrant, No Probable Cause"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Federal government continues to find new inroads into violating 4<sup>th<\/sup> Amendment protections that are supposed to be guaranteed to all citizens.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, the <a href=\"http:\/\/thefreethoughtproject.com\/breaking-supreme-court-rules-cops-break-law-enforce-law\/\" target=\"_blank\">Supreme Court ruled 5-3<\/a> that \u201cevidence of an alleged crime can be used against a defendant even if police did something inappropriate or even illegal to obtain it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In February, a <a href=\"http:\/\/thefreethoughtproject.com\/wisconsin-lost-4th-amendment-rights-single-vote-justice-appointed-scott-walker\/\" target=\"_blank\">state supreme court ruled 4-3<\/a> that \u201cevidence seized in a person\u2019s private home during a warrantless search can be used against the person under an expanded view of the \u201ccommunity caretaker\u201d clause.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Free Thought Project has <a href=\"http:\/\/thefreethoughtproject.com\/?s=4th+amendment\" target=\"_blank\">documented<\/a> several other search and seizures cases that add to the dismantling of rights protecting against unreasonable search and seizure. The Snowden revelations allowed us to witness the massive intrusion into privacy being carried out by spy agencies such as the NSA and FBI.<\/p>\n<p><strong>And the hits keep on coming.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eff.org\/deeplinks\/2016\/06\/federal-court-fourth-amendment-does-not-protect-your-home-computer\" target=\"_blank\">Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) reported on Thursday<\/a>, \u201ca federal district court in Virginia ruled that a criminal defendant has no \u201creasonable expectation of privacy\u201d in his personal computer, located inside his home.
