160 Killed in Iraq; Torture Arrests Made<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

The Iraqi Ministry of Immigration and Displacement<\/b> released new figures<\/a>
\non the number of internally displaced civilians in Iraq. About 3.6 million
\npeople are currently displaced from their homes. However, 600,000 former
\nrefugees have been able to return home, so far. <\/p>\n

At a press conference on Sunday, Anbar Governor Suhaib
\nAl-Rawi<\/b> said 49
\ncivilians were killed<\/a> and 643 are missing after reaching Shi\u2019ite militias
\nforces near Fallujah. At least four security personnel were arrested<\/a>
\nafter video surfaced of them abusing civilians. The militias say they have been
\nscreening male refugees for ties to the Islamic State militants. They deny any
\nabuse. Police forces in Anbar say they have arrested<\/a>
\nabout 500 militants who were trying to escape among the refugees. At least
\n7,000 refugees have streamed<\/a>
\nthrough the al-Salam Junction route since Saturday.<\/p>\n

At least 160 were killed and 16 more were wounded<\/b>:<\/p>\n

A sniper in Tarmiya<\/b> killed
\none soldier and wounded two more<\/a> at a checkpoint.<\/p>\n

An army
\nofficer was shot dead<\/a> in Muqdadiya<\/b>.<\/p>\n

In Qayara<\/b>, security forces killed
\n20 militants<\/a>. Militants executed
\n18<\/a> of their own personnel.<\/p>\n

Eight
\nmilitants were killed and 14 were wounded<\/a> in an airstrike on Shuhada<\/b>,
\nsouthern Fallujah. At least 43
\nmore were killed<\/a> in fighting.<\/p>\n

Security forces killed
\neight militants<\/a> in Falahat<\/b>.<\/p>\n

In Fallujah<\/b>, six
\nsuicide bombers were killed<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Heavy fighting was reported in Jeraishi<\/b> where at
\nleast four
\nsuicide bombers were killed<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Security forces killed
\na militant<\/a> in Waqaf<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Near Iskandariya<\/b> hospital, a militant
\nwas killed<\/a> while trying to plant a bomb.<\/p>\n
