{"id":24696,"date":"2013-01-30T22:22:49","date_gmt":"2013-01-30T21:22:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.presstv.ir\/detail\/2013\/01\/30\/286449\/three-wounded-at-phoenix-office-shooting\/"},"modified":"2013-01-30T22:22:49","modified_gmt":"2013-01-30T21:22:49","slug":"3-wounded-at-phoenix-office-shooting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/rinf.com\/alt-news\/breaking-news\/3-wounded-at-phoenix-office-shooting\/","title":{"rendered":"3 wounded at Phoenix office shooting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span id=\"ctl00_body_spnDetail\">People gather outside an office building where a gunman fired shots inside during business hours in Arizona, Phoenix, on January 30, 2013.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"divDetailBody\">\n<p>At least three people have been shot and wounded when a gunman opened fire at an office building in the US state of Arizona.<\/p>\n<p>Sergeant Tommy Thompson of the Phoenix Police Department said the shooter arrived at the three-story complex at around 10:30 a.m. local time (1730 GMT) on Wednesday and got into a serious dispute with someone, the Associated Press reported.<\/p>\n<p>Thompson said the argument exacerbated to the point where the man shot the three people, one of them critically.<\/p>\n<p>The victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n<p>The gunfire prompted horrified workers throughout the complex to lock the doors to their offices and hide far from the windows.<\/p>\n<p>Several individuals also received treatment for stress-related symptoms.<\/p>\n<p>Phoenix Police Department Sergeant Steve Martos said there is speculation that the assailant was an aged man, who left the office building in a white car.<\/p>\n<p>The incident took place amid growing fears in the United States over mass shootings.<\/p>\n<p>On December 14, 2012, twenty children and six adult victims were fatally shot by a gunman &#8212; who later killed himself &#8212; at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in the town of Newtown in the US state of Connecticut.
