UKIP MEP David Coburn has been ridiculed on social media after his tweet stressing the need for NHS workers to have strong English skills turned into an epic grammar fail.<\/p>\n

The Scottish politician was focusing on the subtleties of interaction between doctor and patient and the importance that both understand each other clearly.<\/p>\n

The Brexiteer\u2019s failure to double check what he wrote didn\u2019t go amiss with social media users who were only too willing to point out the mistakes.<\/p>\n

Working as a politician in the European parliament usually requires a decent smattering of French and Coburn is apparently pretty confident speaking the language of Voltaire.<\/p>\n

So confident, in fact, that\u00a0he\u2019s not shy when it comes to mocking the French and their use of language either.<\/p>\n

His tweet is far from the biggest twitter fail from a politician though.<\/p>\n

When Labour\u2019s Ed Balls accidentally tweeted his own name back in 2011, he was widely mocked. The incident eventually spawned ‘Ed Balls Day,’ which is still celebrated each year on April 28.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
