It is for the residents of Rochdale to determine who the MP for Rochdale is<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n The MP also urged Corbyn to distance himself from the protest and suggested \u201cCorbynites<\/em>\u201d were among those targeting him.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is the ugly face of extremist groups in politics and the Labour leadership should distance themselves from it<\/em>,\u201d he told reporters outside his office.<\/p>\n \u201cI know I\u2019ve been silly and I\u2019ve said I\u2019m extremely sorry, but I\u2019m not going to be dragged through a kangaroo court so my enemies can exact revenge<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are seeing an orchestrated campaign to use what\u2019s happening in my personal life to whip up opposition to me<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n Danczuk apologized for sending the sexually explicit texts and claimed a \u201cdrinking problem<\/em>\u201d led him to do it.<\/p>\n He told the Sun newspaper he was \u201cdrunk, horny and on my own<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n However, former Rochdale Liberal Democrat councilor Liz Thirsk said that being drunk was \u201cno excuse<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n Dumped Danczuk.
