There can be little doubt now: America\u2019s decades-long catastrophic failures to make significant progress in eliminating even a single one of the numerous jihadist groups around the world is due to the American government\u2019s secret under-the-table crucial ongoing assistance to those groups, and this American-government support has intentionally encouraged recent terrorist events especially in Syria, Libya, and other countries that had been allied with Russia \u2014 but which might be flipped \u2018our\u2019 way, by those jihadists. In such countries (America\u2019s \u2018enemies\u2019), the U.S. government calls the jihadist groups \u2018moderates\u2019 and \u2018pro-democracy.\u2019 But in Christian, Jewish, and Shiite-Muslim dominant countries, they\u2019re instead called \u201cterrorists,\u201d which is what they actually are. George Orwell called such linguistic tricks for fooling any nation\u2019s mass of suckers, \u201cNewspeak,\u201d but America\u2019s version is more sophisticated than his fictional one was. And so is America\u2019s version of Orwell\u2019s \u201cBig Brother\u201d more sophisticated than his \u2014 and now we know what it actually is<\/i>, because of this:<\/span><\/p>\n

The great investigative journalist Andrew Cockburn, in the January 2016 issue of Harpers<\/i> Magazine, has come forth with what may be\u00a0the best public-affairs article I\u2019ve ever seen<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(it\u2019s at that link), because he has interviewed key individuals in the U.S. government’s CIA and other intelligence agencies, some of whom he even identifies by name (i.e., they\u2019re retired), and all of whom provide different details of the very same stunning huge story, a story that I have been reporting only in bits<\/span><\/a> and pieces<\/span><\/a> over the past year, but for which Cockburn offers an astounding amount of fuller and entirely new documentation \u2014 it blows everything else away.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To boil it all down (which he sadly doesn\u2019t): The fundamentalist-Sunni royal family of the Sauds have bought the highest levels of the U.S. government in order to control U.S. foreign policies, especially the ongoing wars to take down the governments of Iraq<\/span><\/a>, Libya, Syria<\/span><\/a>, and ultimately (they hope) of Russia<\/span><\/a> itself, which latter nation has allied itself instead with Shia countries. The controlling entities behind American foreign policies since at least the late 1970s<\/span><\/a> have been the Saud family and the Sauds\u2019 subordinate Arabic aristocracies, which are the ones in Qatar (the al-Thanis), Kuwait (the al-Sabahs), Turkey (the Turkish Erdo\u011fans,\u00a0a new royalty<\/span><\/a>), and UAE (its\u00a0six royal families<\/span><\/a>: the main one, the al-Nahyans in Abu Dhabi; the other five: the al-Maktoums in Dubai, al-Qasimis in Sharjah, al-Nuaimis in Ajman, al-Mualla Ums in Quwain, and al-Sharqis in Fujairah). Other Saudi-dominated nations \u2014 though they\u2019re not oil-rich (more like Turkey in this regard) \u2014 are Pakistan and Afghanistan.<\/span><\/p>\n

On December 15th, the Sauds formed their own Sunni-Islamic version of the American aristocracy\u2019s NATO<\/a><\/span>; and, though it shares one existing member with the 28-member NATO military alliance, which is Turkey<\/span><\/a>, the other 34+ nations in it are, like the Sauds\u2019 Kingdom itself, ruled by Wahhabist-Salafist leaders, and are likewise vigorously against both Russia<\/span><\/a> and Shiite-led countries<\/span><\/a> \u2014 just as NATO itself also is<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Cockburn mentions by name only the al-Sauds, but he documents the cooperation of the other Kingdoms in the ringleading Sauds\u2019 fundamentalist-Sunni plan, for, essentially, a Saud Caliphate, which dream had actually started when Muhammad Ibn Saud and Muhammad Ibn Wahhab in the year 1744 swore their mutual oaths to one-another that started Saudi Arabia<\/span><\/a>: Saud\u2019s descendants would be authorized by Wahhab\u2019s clerics to be approved by God to rule, in return for which the Sauds would impose upon their subjects the Wahhabist-Salafist version of Islam, and would allow the Wahhabist clerics to make the country\u2019s laws, with the approval of (and enforcement by) the Sauds. It\u2019s the traditional deal between a nation\u2019s aristocrats and its clergy, but superpowered in the Sauds\u2019 case with \u2018god\u2019s\u2019 gift of oil, and America\u2019s commitment of weapons (which is an endless boon to America\u2019s weapons industry).<\/span><\/p>\n

As I have documented\u00a0previously,<\/span><\/a>\u00a0the bookkeeper for Al Qaeda, who also was their traveling bagman who personally collected in cash each one of the many multi-million-dollar donations to al-Qaeda, has testified in stunning detail, under oath (not merely as the interviewee of some journalist), regarding the identities of the chief funders of al-Qaeda; and, he said, to summarize, that, \u201cWithout the money of the \u2014 of the Saudi you will have\u00a0nothing\u201d; but, even Hillary Clinton, in\u00a0a much quoted 2009 wikileaked cable telling America\u2019s Ambassadors what to say to the Islamic-nation rulers (quoted from also by Cockburn)<\/span><\/a>, mentioned this Saudi problem, when she addressed the issue indirectly to the Sauds, via the U.S. Saudi Ambassador:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) takes\u00a0seriously the threat of terrorism within Saudi Arabia, it has\u00a0been an ongoing challenge to persuade Saudi officials to\u00a0treat terrorist financing emanating from Saudi Arabia as a\u00a0strategic priority. \u00a0Due in part to intense focus by the USG\u00a0over the last several years, Saudi Arabia has begun to make\u00a0important progress on this front and has responded to\u00a0terrorist financing concerns raised by the United States\u00a0through proactively investigating and detaining financial\u00a0facilitators of concern. \u00a0Still, donors in Saudi Arabia\u00a0constitute the most significant source of funding to Sunni\u00a0terrorist groups worldwide.<\/i>\u00a0\u2026\u00a0In contrast to its increasingly aggressive efforts to disrupt al-Qa’ida’s access to funding from Saudi sources, Riyadh has taken only limited action to disrupt fundraising for the UN 1267-listed Taliban and LeT-groups that are also aligned with al-Qa’ida and focused on undermining stability in Afghanistan and Pakistan.<\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So: we know that al-Qaeda was an operation financed chiefly by the Saud family not only pre-9\/11, but until at least 2009.<\/span><\/p>\n

She went on to request, almost to plead with them:<\/span><\/p>\n

We would like to stress our interest in\u00a0broadening and deepening this dialogue and information\u00a0exchange as we still lack detailed information on the\u00a0ultimate sources of terrorist financing emanating from the\u00a0Kingdom.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

No sanctions against them were threatened: a subordinate doesn\u2019t threaten his (or her) master<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

She also requested their:<\/span><\/p>\n

cutting off the flow of funds from Saudi Arabia to foreign\u00a0religious, charitable, and educational organizations that\u00a0propagate violent extremist ideologies to vulnerable\u00a0populations.\u00a0<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

She went on also to mention, regarding Kuwait (whose Sabah family are ruling there only because the Sauds want them to<\/span><\/a>):<\/span><\/p>\n

the specific activities of terrorist\u00a0financiers in country, Kuwaiti charities financing terrorism\u00a0abroad, and Kuwait’s lack of a comprehensive anti-money\u00a0laundering and counter-terrorist financing regime.\u00a0\u2026\u00a0Al-Qa’ida and other\u00a0groups continue to exploit Kuwait both as a source of funds\u00a0and as a key transit point.\u00a0\u2026\u00a0A particular point of difference between the U.S. and\u00a0Kuwait concerns Revival of Islamic Heritage Society (RIHS).\u00a0In June 2008 the USG domestically designated all RIHS offices\u00a0RIHS under Executive Order 13224 for providing financial and\u00a0material support to al-Qa’ida and UN 1267-listed al-Qa’ida\u00a0affiliates, including Lashkar e-Tayyiba, Jemaah Islamiyah,\u00a0and Al-Itihaad al-Islamiya<\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

To Kuwait’s Sabahs themselves, she said:<\/span><\/p>\n

We remain concerned that the continued\u00a0absence of counterterrorism legislation criminalizing\u00a0terrorist financing will continue to prevent effective\u00a0counterterrorist efforts.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

She noted regarding Qatar:<\/span><\/p>\n

Qatar has adopted a largely passive approach to cooperating with the U.S. against terrorist financing. Qatar’s overall level of CT cooperation with the U.S. is considered the worst in the region.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

However, she said nothing at all to the rulers, the Thanis, themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n

To UAE\u2019s Nahyans, she concluded by saying:<\/span><\/p>\n

We urge your government to\u00a0strengthen its regulatory and enforcement regime to interdict\u00a0cash couriers transiting major airports.\u00a0<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

To Pakistan\u2019s rulers, she said:<\/span><\/p>\n

We urge your government to support the\u00a0international community’s efforts to combat terrorist\u00a0financing.\u00a0\u2026\u00a0We urge your government to comply with UN\u00a0and domestic legal obligations to enforce sanctions on the\u00a0Pakistan-based, UN-proscribed NGOs al Rashid Trust and al\u00a0Akhtar Trust, and all successor organizations that continue\u00a0to funnel money and provide other forms of support to the\u00a0Taliban and LeT.\u00a0\u2026\u00a0We emphasize that social services provided\u00a0by NGO extremist organizations, such as Jamaat-ud Dawa (JUD)\u00a0challenge the legitimacy of your government to provide for\u00a0its people.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

The clergy in all of those countries are mainly Wahhabist, which outside Saudi Arabia is instead called Salafist. This is the fundamentalist wing of Sunni Islam, and it is rabidly anti-Shiite. It dominates not only Arabia but also Pakistan and Afghanistan; it\u2019s the jihadist wing of Islam, the wing that promotes restoring the \u201cCaliphate\u201d or Islamic Empire.<\/span><\/p>\n

Secretary of State Clinton had nothing to say in this cable, to Shiite-dominant countries, such as Iran, Iraq, and Syria<\/span><\/a>, nor to Bahrain which is Sunni-ruled, by the Salafist al-Khalifa family, who continue to rule their majority-Shiite population only because in 2011, U.S. weapons and Saudi soldiers slaughtered opponents of the regime.\u00a0Here<\/span><\/a>\u00a0was the never-telecast U.S. news-report about that, and\u00a0here<\/span><\/a>\u00a0is an interview with its reporter, who was fired and blackballed from U.S. media for having tried to report it. (A youtube news-medium, Vice News, wasn\u2019t as corrupt: they allowed their report<\/span><\/a> to run.)<\/span><\/p>\n

So, it\u2019s remarkable that Andrew Cockburn is able to get his extraordinarily honest article published in a mainstream American news-medium. Perhaps Harpers<\/i>\u00a0 <\/span>Magazine is suddenly testing the limits of what the U.S. aristocracy will tolerate to be published. But whatever the reason is, it\u2019s to be welcomed, and applauded. <\/span><\/p>\n

The only scientific study that has yet been done of whether or not the U.S. is a democraacy or instead a dictatorship found that it\u2019s a dictatorship<\/span><\/a>; and now the international extension of that dictatorship, if not the chief figures in<\/i> this dictatorship (if America\u2019s aristocracy actually is<\/i> subordinate to the Sauds), can be more clearly understood. But, perhaps, one can safely say that the alliance between the U.S. aristocracy and the royal Sauds, is emerging as a global dictatorship, a dictatorial type of world government. Because, clearly: those two aristocraciues have been, to a large extent, ruling the world together, for several decades now. From their perspective, jihadists are themselves a weapon, not merely a political nuisance.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a more realistic explanation of America\u2019s decades-long catastrophic failures to make significant progress in eliminating even a single one of the numerous jihadist groups around the world: that\u2019s how things have been planned to be. It\u2019s not just \u2018intelligence errors\u2019 or \u2018not being tough enough.\u2019 Those \u2018explanations\u2019 are just cover-stories, propaganda, PR from the aristocrats. It\u2019s skillful \u2018crowd control\u2019: keeping the people in their \u2018proper\u2019 places.<\/span><\/p>\n

Listening to America\u2019s Presidential campaign \u2018debates\u2019 in this light enables a viewer to understand better the pressures upon each one of the candidates \u2014 and upon the moderators who ask the questions, and who don\u2019t ask the follow-up questions that will expose the lies in the answers. It\u2019s not merely a contest between the candidates; it is all part of a collective war by the aristocracy against the public, to keep them in their \u2018proper\u2019 places.<\/span><\/p>\n
