{"id":200946,"date":"2015-11-17T20:55:46","date_gmt":"2015-11-17T20:55:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rinf.com\/alt-news\/?p=200946"},"modified":"2015-11-17T20:56:01","modified_gmt":"2015-11-17T20:56:01","slug":"us-successfully-tests-nuclear-gravity-bomb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/rinf.com\/alt-news\/latest-news\/us-successfully-tests-nuclear-gravity-bomb\/","title":{"rendered":"US successfully tests nuclear gravity bomb"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>The US has carried out a third flight test of a newly upgraded nuclear free-fall bomb at the Tonopah Test Range in the state of Nevada which it says shows the nation&#8217;s \u201ccontinued commitment to security.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The test of the non-nuclear version of the B61-12 nuclear gravity bomb was completed by the US Air Force and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) on October 20.<\/p>\n<p>The test \u201cprovides additional evidence of the nation&#8217;s continued commitment to our nation&#8217;s security and that of our allies and partners,\u201d NNSA Deputy Administrator Madelyn Creedon said in a statement Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The first test of the B61-12 took place in July.
