Ed Rogers argues that there are many more important issues than keeping his clients from wrecking the planet. If you\u2019re getting paid to advocate for the destruction of the world as we know it, shouldn\u2019t you at least let people know? The Washington Post apparently doesn\u2019t think so. The Post regularly publishes columns by Ed Rogers , a veteran of the Reagan\/Bush administration turned lobbyist.<\/p>\n
His most recent column ( 4\/20\/15 ) is an attack on President Barack Obama for thinking that global warming is important: Incredibly, in Sunday\u2019s weekly video address, President Obama said , \u201cToday, there is no greater threat to our planet than climate change.\u201d \u00a0‘<\/p>\n
I say \u201cincredibly\u201d because that just isn\u2019t true\u2013and if President Obama really believes it is, then it is time to panic. Given the state of the world and the urgent problems facing us that directly affect our prospects for peace and prosperity, global warming shouldn\u2019t even be in the top five on the list of problems our president should be worrying about.<\/p>\n
What are the many things more important than climate change? Um, the Ukraine crisis. Concern that \u201cthe United States is retreating from global leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n
