On January 27th, Ukraine\u2019s Ministry of Defense headlined \u201cMilitants Continue to Suffer Losses,\u201d<\/a> and reported that four helicopters, and other weapons of the \u201cmilitants,\u201d were destroyed in battle, but no evidence was given to support the assertion.<\/p>\n Just two days prior, the (also pro<\/em>-Government) Kiev Post<\/em> had, in fact, bannered \u201cUkraine Hides Devastating Losses as Russia-Backed Fighters Surge Forward,\u201d<\/a> and reported \u201cUkraine\u2019s worst-kept secret \u2013 that the Ukrainian army is drastically understating its casualties.\u201d After detailing, there, what seems to be outrageous unconcern by the Government, for the welfare of troops it\u2019s sending into battle (even by jamming battlefield-injured soldiers into regular civilian hospitals, which aren\u2019t equipped to handle their injuries), this report ends with a doctor saying, \u201cIt\u2019s bad everywhere. Yes, the soldiers are still standing at their positions ready to fight. But we don\u2019t see any help coming for them.\u201d<\/p>\n The Ukrainian news agency RIAN headlined on January 26th, \u201cMobilization in Dnipropetrovsk Almost Drowned,\u201d<\/a> and reported, \u201cIn Dnipropetrovsk region [which is run by the U.S. White House\u2019s friend, the Ukrainian-Swiss-Israeli billionaire Ihor Kolomoysky<\/a>, whose longstanding personal mercenary army has, alone, more than 5,000 fighters], thousands of men are hiding from the draft. Enforcement officers recognize that accomplishing their task will be very difficult.\u201d More than 2,000 people there who were drafted \u201cdid not show up, they evaporated.\u201d<\/p>\n Consequently, the Government is dragooning-in, or \u201cambushing\u201d (as the article says), virtually anyone who seeks help from the Government, \u201cmobilizing the unemployed\u201d and other \u201cdesperate\u201d people. \u201cMilitary enlistment offices complain\u201d that some draftees are too sick to be able to fight at all.<\/p>\n Also on January 26th, the Fort Russ blog bannered, \u201cAzov Commander Freaks Out, Calls the War \u2018Lost\u2019. Blames Everybody,\u201d<\/a> and reported that, \u201cUkrainian politicians and generals \u2018already lost the war,\u2019 and \u2018the West did not help.\u2019 That\u2019s the core of the statement by Azov punitive [meaning: to \u2018punish\u2019 the residents in the anti-Government region, for their not<\/em> supporting the Government] battalion commander\u2019s, and currently also Rada [Parliament] Deputy\u2019s, Andrey Biletsky, in his \u2018Address to the Nation.\u2019\u201d According to Biletsky, after the fictitious \u201cthousands of supposedly killed enemies and burned out tanks, the wake-up can be very painful,\u201d because of disappointment felt from the Government\u2019s lies.<\/p>\n RIAN news headlined on January 27th, \u201cThe Situation at the Front and Riots Against the Mobilization,\u201d<\/a> and Andrew Vajra, of the news-site \u201cAlternative,\u201d quoted Biletsky there, as saying, \u201cWe were not prepared for the current confrontation.\u201d<\/p>\n Whereas Ukrainian conscript soldiers are not eager to risk their lives in order to impose the current Ukrainian Government (which had resulted from Obama\u2019s coup in Ukraine in February 2014<\/a>), upon the residents in Ukraine\u2019s Donbass region, which had voted 90% for the man whom Obama overthrew<\/a>, the residents who still survive there are very eager not to allow this new regime to kill them; and, so, the motivation on the part of the people whom Obama\u2019s forces are trying to kill<\/a>, is vastly higher than is the motivation on the part of conscript troops, from the rest of Ukraine, to kill them<\/a>. The only troops who are that eager to kill them are supporters of Ukraine\u2019s two nazi (or racist-fascist) parties, the \u201cFreedom\u201d (renamed by the CIA from their former \u201cSocial Nationalist\u201d) and the Right Sector, Parties. Those parties have always gotten only a small percentage of the popular vote in Ukraine, though Obama\u2019s people have placed them into power<\/a>. Once in power, they passed laws to lock-in that power.<\/p>\n The Ukrainian Government\u2019s problem is that there just aren\u2019t enough nazis, and there\u2019s also not enough money, to do the amounts of killing that need to be done in order to enable Obama\u2019s Ukrainian regime to retain the land in Donbass while eliminating the people there. The 90% of those people who had voted for the man (Viktor Yanukovych)<\/a> whom Obama overthrew<\/a> are far more numerous, and far more motivated, than are the vast majority of Ukraine\u2019s soldiers.<\/p>\n America\u2019s and Ukraine\u2019s oligarchs cannot come up with the money to finish the job, but Obama\u2019s big financial backer George Soros is now globetrotting in order to convince taxpayers throughout the West to provide the money to finish it<\/a>, and the amount he\u2019s coming up with as being necessary for the job is between twenty and fifty billion dollars. His entreaties appear to be falling upon deaf ears.<\/p>\n And that\u2019s the real reason why Obama\u2019s war in Ukraine is failing: there\u2019s just not enough blood-lust<\/a> for the task<\/a>, either in Ukraine<\/a>, or in \u201cthe West.\u201d<\/p>\n There aren\u2019t enough nazis, in either area. Obama had over-reached, when he overthrew<\/a> Ukraine\u2019s democratically elected President, Viktor Yanukovych, in February 2014. Either he\u2019ll have to yield-up the land in Donbass, or else he\u2019ll have to yield-up the anti-Russian Government that he has imposed<\/a> upon Ukraine. It\u2019s one or the other, and he\u2019ll have to choose which.<\/p>\n Either outcome will be embarrassing for him. But perhaps it won\u2019t be quite as embarrassing for him as was his predecessor\u2019s embarrassment regarding the Iraq War. (Of course, Republicans would be in their glory then, by saying \u201cObama lost Ukraine,\u201d even though it was actually Obama who had seized<\/a> Ukraine, to begin with \u2013 and Republicans would never criticize a President for doing a thing like that: it\u2019s the sort of thing that Republicans are expected to do.)<\/p>\n On the other hand, it might turn out to be even more embarrassing than that<\/a> for Obama, if he should happen to decide to go all the way here, and to push on for a nuclear war against Russia.<\/p>\n As regards the Ukrainian Government itself, they were placed into power by Obama\u2019s action of coup, followed by this Ukrainian Government\u2019s actions removing the Donbass residents from their electorate; and, so, the current members of the Rada, and of the Ukrainian Administration, cannot blame Obama; they are instead blaming Vladimir Putin and Russia \u2013 the country that Obama (like George Soros and so many other American aristocrats) hates, and that not merely the people whom Obama placed into power in Ukraine hate. Thus, on Wednesday, January 28th, RIAN news headlined, \u201cFull Text of the Appeal for Recognition of Russia as Aggressor,\u201d<\/a> and they reported:<\/p>\n \u201cThe Verkhovna Rada made \u00e2\u20ac\u2039\u00e2\u20ac\u2039public the full text of Resolution number 1854 on appeal to the United Nations, the European Parliament, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE, GUAM Parliamentary Assembly, and the national parliaments of the countries in the world, to recognize the Russian Federation as the aggressor state.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Furthermore, German Economic News<\/em> reported<\/a> that this action by the Rada had been passed by \u201c271 of 289 deputies present,\u201d and that it could \u201chave international legal consequences.\u201d GEN\u2019s<\/em> report also said that Ukraine\u2019s leaders claim they now \u201curgently need new loans\u201d from the EU, because, otherwise, Ukraine\u2019s existing loans will go into default. The reader-comments to that news-report at GEN\u2019s<\/em> website seem to be negative on that request, and to be far more inclined to view Ukraine\u2019s Government as nazi than as Ukraine\u2019s being the victim of Russia or any other country, and least of all as being a victim of the EU\u2019s own taxpayers, who have already given plenty to the Ukrainian Government, and who would become the people bearing the burden of those new \u2018loans,\u2019 which would be going to the very back of Ukraine\u2019s long line of creditors, if Ukraine goes bankrupt, as is widely expected soon to happen. In other words: there would seem to be little public support in Germany, for giving Ukraine yet more money. If the EU\u2019s leaders do decide to comply with Ukraine\u2019s urgent request, then the EU will have even less public support in Germany than it currently does.
