The \u201cRussian Submarine in Swedish Waters\u201d Story and the Decay of Security Policy Journalism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Sweden ends its search for the unmentionable<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This morning the Swedish defence solemnly called off its search for whatever it thought it was searching.<\/p>\n<p>That was what was predicted in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.transnational.org\/2014\/10\/tff-pressinfo-285-what-submarine-in-sweden\/\">TFF PressInfo # 28<\/a>5 two days ago:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201dFor the above reasons the Swedish military will soon call off the whole thing and the affair will have served its purpose \u2014 precisely by not stating what it was, who it was or why it was. Or if it was.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>What the purpose of the event may be remains to be revealed at some point in the future. Or perhaps never if \u2014 the purpose was fearology for increased militarisation.<\/p>\n<p><em>Somebody somewhere knows what\u2019s going on.
