It has been killing a wide range of pathogenic organisms (including the healthy bacteria we need to fight super bugs) even since it first came into use in 1974.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a style=\"color: #025ab4;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.monsanto.com\/weedmanagement\/pages\/history-roundup-ready.aspx\">Monsanto will tell you<\/a>\u00a0that:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cRoundup\u00ae brand herbicides continue to be a perfect fit with the vision of sustainable agriculture and environmental protection. In fact, their use on Roundup Ready\u00ae crops has allowed farmers to conserve fuel, reduce tillage and decrease the overall amount of herbicides used.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>These are all claims which have been proven to be untrue.<\/p>\n<p>So why would the company\u00a0seek a patent for an herbicide to be used as an antibiotic?
