The\u00a0editor of\u00a0two Russian-language newspapers who was seized last month in\u00a0eastern Ukraine and\u00a0who was believed to\u00a0have been held by\u00a0Ukrainian government forces has been found dead, his colleague said in\u00a0an online post.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0body of\u00a0Sergei Dolgov, who was an\u00a0editor at\u00a0newspapers Hochu v SSSR, or “I want to\u00a0be in\u00a0the USSR,” and\u00a0Vestnik Priazovya, or “The Azov Region Courier” was found in\u00a0a park near the\u00a0eastern Ukrainian city of\u00a0Dnipropetrovsk, according to\u00a0a message posted on\u00a0the Vkontakte page of\u00a0Konstantin Dolgov, the\u00a0editor of\u00a0Glagol online news portal.<\/p>\n

Konstatin Dolgov, who is also a\u00a0leader of\u00a0the pro-separatist People’s Front of\u00a0Novorossiya movement, added that his namesake had been “tortured” by\u00a0kidnappers, saying “the enhanced interrogation ended in\u00a0the death of\u00a0the journalist.”<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0employees of\u00a0Vestnik Priazovya, Dolgov had been missing since mid-June when masked men armed with automatic rifles barged into\u00a0their editorial offices in\u00a0the eastern Ukrainian town of\u00a0Mariupol and\u00a0abducted Dolgov, tying up his hands with wire, 24.com.ua reported.<\/p>\n
