Hypocrisy is shameless. It\u2019s shocking. It\u2019s disgusting. Western-supported neo-Nazi putschists usurped power in Kiev.<\/p>\n
It was the most brazen post-WW II coup. Legitimate Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych was blamed for their crimes. They continue. They\u2019re ignored.<\/p>\n
Headlines call them democrats. Incendiary conditions exist. Open conflict is threatened.<\/p>\n
Right Sector leader Dmitry Yarosh is unapologetically fascist. \u201cI\u2019ll be fighting Jews and Russians til I die,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He has presidential aspirations. He\u2019ll run to head Ukraine in so-called May elections. They\u2019ll be farcical when held. They\u2019ll be illegitimate.<\/p>\n
Russia issued an international arrest warrant for Yarosh. He publicly supports terrorism. According to Russia\u2019s Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin:<\/p>\n
\u201cThe investigators believe (he) has been publicly calling upon anti-Russian forces for extreme actions and terror on the territory of Russia.\u201d<\/p>\n
Doku Umarov is Russia\u2019s most wanted terrorist. Yarosh urged him to \u201cactivate his fight (and) take a unique opportunity to win\u201d against Russia.<\/p>\n
He issued an ultimatum. He demands access to Ukraine\u2019s military arsenals. Itar Tass said he \u201cdoesn\u2019t rule out more decisive action on Ukraine if the government doesn\u2019t comply with (his) demands.\u201d<\/p>\n
He and likeminded fascists run Ukraine. Washington supports them. So do EU partners. Media scoundrels ignore their lawlessness. Ukraine\u2019s crisis escalates.<\/p>\n
Dubious reports circulate. On March 7,\u00a0Time magazine<\/a>\u00a0headlined \u201cUkrainian Base in Crimea Resists Russian Raid.\u201d<\/p>\n It claimed Russian troops attempt to seize the base failed. It cited an anonymous Kiev coup d\u2019etat defense ministry spokesman saying:<\/p>\n \u201cThe base is now in full control of the Ukrainian armed forces.\u201d<\/p>\n He claimed two Russian military trucks rammed the base\u2019s gate. Several dozen Russian troops were allegedly involved, he said.<\/p>\n \u201cRussian forces\u2026surround(ed) all of the Ukrainian bases in Crimea and barricade(d) their servicemen inside,\u201d said Time.<\/p>\n \u201cBy slamming through the gates with a military vehicle, the Russian forces initiated an escalation of the ongoing conflict over Crimea between Russia and Ukraine that could easily have led to bloodshed and a full-scale war.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt not was immediately clear why the Russians withdrew,\u201d Time added. Its report was polar opposite truth.<\/p>\n Haaretz<\/a>\u00a0hyped the story. It headlined \u201cRussian soldiers storm Ukrainian military base in Crimea.\u201d<\/p>\n They \u201cdemanded the Ukrainian soldiers surrender.\u201d<\/p>\n Russia flatly denies its troops are active in Crimea. Claims otherwise are false. Haaretz said Moscow doubled its forces to 30,000.<\/p>\n No verifiable proof suggests it. Big Lies substitute for truth. They proliferate daily.<\/p>\n AP covered the so-called storming incident. No shots were fired. No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n Allegedly Crimean self-defense forces were involved. Russian troops had nothing to do with what supposedly happened.<\/p>\n Don\u2019t expect media scoundrels to explain. Vicious propaganda continues daily. Russian voices are largely drowned out.<\/p>\n On March 6, Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow won\u2019t \u201cremain indifferent\u201d in Crimea. It\u2019s \u201cthe country on which the Russian world rests upon\u201d for help.<\/p>\n Support for Putin grows, he added. He called it \u201cunique.\u201d He\u2019s on the right side of resolving the Crimean crisis. He wants it achieved diplomatically.<\/p>\n Russia\u2019s only Crimean-based forces relate to its Black Sea Fleet. Russian\/Ukrainian 1997 Friendship Treaty terms authorize numbers up to 25,000.<\/p>\n About 16,000 are present. They\u2019re deployed legitimately. Claims otherwise are false. Neocon Washington Post editors pillory Russia.<\/p>\n On March 7, they\u00a0headlined<\/a>\u00a0\u201dThe West must resist Mr. Putin\u2019s gambits in Ukraine.\u201d<\/p>\n They lied claiming Russia invaded. Putin \u201cfloated another radical measure: Russian annexation of Crimea,\u201d they bellowed.<\/p>\n They lied again claiming Moscow controls Crimea\u2019s parliament. They ignored overwhelming public sentiment.<\/p>\n Crimeans reject Kiev fascists. On March 16, they\u2019ll vote up or down on whether to secede, declare independence, or join the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n They\u2019re legally entitled to do it. A\u00a0previous article<\/a>\u00a0explained. Claims otherwise are false. WaPo editors support Kiev fascist putschists. Russia bashing is relentless.<\/p>\n Out-of-control propaganda substitutes for legitimate reporting and opinion. It\u2019s vicious. It\u2019s relentless. WaPo readers are carpet-bombed with lies, damn lies, misinformation.<\/p>\n \u201cNo country has invaded and then annexed part of a neighbor since Saddam Hussein\u2019s Iraq sought to swallow Kuwait in 1990,\u201d said WaPo editors.<\/p>\n \u201cNo such land grab has happened in Europe since the 1930s. A Russian annexation of Crimea would be an extraordinary violation of international treaties and the UN Charter.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIf tolerated by the world, it would open the way for aggression by many other powers with claims on their neighbors, including China.\u201d<\/p>\n Responsible editors would denounce this rubbish. Likeminded publishers wouldn\u2019t touch it.<\/p>\n WaPo features it. Russian bashing continues. It\u2019s ongoing daily. It\u2019s way over-the-top and then some.<\/p>\n WaPo long ago was was a respected broadsheet. Its publisher and editors fell from grace. Watergate-type exposes are strictly verboten.<\/p>\n Conflicts of interest are rife. WaPo editors changed from Nixon\u2019s nemesis to imperial America\u2019s cheerleader.<\/p>\n Doing so lost them all credibility. Their reporting almost makes yellow journalism look good by comparison.<\/p>\n Wall Street Journal editors match them blow-for-blow. Murdoch publications march in lockstep.<\/p>\n They feature demagogic, warmongering propaganda. Managed news misinformation substitutes for legitimate reporting and opinion. Daily editions are polar opposite what readers deserve.<\/p>\n On March 6, Journal editors headlined \u201cPutin Escalates<\/a>.\u201d He invaded Crimea, they claim. \u201cHe escalated the crisis,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Kremlin\u2019s latest provocation took the form of a vote \u2014 unanimous, of course \u2014 by the Crimean parliament to join Russia, along with the promise of a referendum on March 16 to validate the move.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe new parliament also wants to seize Ukrainian state assets on the peninsula.\u201d<\/p>\n According to JournalThink, Crimea\u2019s legitimate government seized power by force.<\/p>\n At the same time, they cheerlead Kiev fascist putschists. They call them democrats. Their analysis is polar opposite truth.<\/p>\n They lied claiming \u201cRussian troops have seized the Crimean port of Kerch.\u201d More lies followed. Armed men threatened a UN envoy, they claimed.<\/p>\n Russian soldiers \u201csurrounded\u2026Ukrainian military facilities,\u201d they said. They \u201cdemand(ed) their defection,\u201d they added.<\/p>\n Russian soldiers operate on their bases. They\u2019re uninvolved in events outside them.<\/p>\n Putin reserves the right to use them to protect Russian nationals if needed. He hasn\u2019t done it so far.<\/p>\n Claims of Russia\u2019s military involvement on Crimean streets are bald-faced lies. Journal editors feature them.<\/p>\n Obama\u2019s most egregious crimes are ignored. Fingers point the wrong way. It\u2019s standard scoundrel media practice.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat price will the US and its European allies impose on Mr. Putin\u2019s revanchism,\u201d asked Journal editors?<\/p>\n \u201cSo far, not much,\u201d they said. They urge much stiffer action. They wrongfully accused Putin of \u201caggression.\u201d<\/p>\n He \u201cwill not stop\u201d with Crimea, they claimed. \u201c(A) West that allows itself to be treated with contempt by one aggressive regime will be treated with contempt by others,\u201d they added.<\/p>\n Journal editors and likeminded ones feature this type rubbish daily. Why readers believe it, they\u2019ll have to explain.<\/p>\n It doesn\u2019t pass the smell test and then some. It\u2019s standard scoundrel media disinformation.<\/p>\n The Weekly Standard is a right-wing rag. It\u2019s called \u201cthe neocon bible\u201d for good reason. It\u2019s way over-the-top.<\/p>\n In 1997, its editor, William Kristol, co-founded the Project for the New American Century (PNAC). The Foreign Policy Initiative is its current incarnation. It supports war. It deplores peace.<\/p>\n Its March 17 edition featured Eric Edelman. From 2005 \u2014 2009, he was Bush undersecretary of defense for policy.<\/p>\n He\u00a0headlined<\/a>\u00a0\u201cConfronting Putin\u2019s Invasion.\u201d He called his agenda \u201cmendacious.\u201d He lied saying so.<\/p>\n He called Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov a \u201cposter child\u201d of \u201cduplicity.\u201d<\/p>\n Obama\u2019s \u201cfailed efforts at reset are now obvious for all the most deluded to see,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n He lied accusing Russia of invading Ukraine. \u201c(I)f Putin can pull off a smash and grab operation against Crimea without being made to pay a serious and significant price, other will draw their own conclusions,\u201d he claimed.<\/p>\n A litany of other lies followed. Likeminded ideologues and naive readers alone buy it. \u201cWhat is to be done,\u201d he asked?<\/p>\n He barely stopped short of urging war. He wants \u201ca more targeted NATO military assistance program.\u201d<\/p>\n He wants a \u201cstrengthen(ed) NATO deterrent posture\u2026\u201d He wants \u201cground combat forces (in) former Warsaw Pact states\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n He wants \u201cNATO military power closer to (Russia\u2019s) borders\u2026\u201d He wants increased defense spending. America already outspends the rest of the world combined.<\/p>\n His commentary sounds like he supports prepping for WW III. Lunatics like him infest Washington. They influence administration policy.<\/p>\n All bets are off it their advice is followed. Crisis could escalate to open conflict. Global war could follow.<\/p>\n Imagine what no responsible leader would risk. Imagine no one in Washington of that caliber. Imagine the worst possible outcomes.
