Again, the world will not end, but the social fabric of the profligate nations will be stretched and in some cases torn. Sadly, looking back through economic history,\u00a0<strong>all too often war is the manifestation of simple economic entropy played to its logical conclusion<\/strong>.\u00a0<strong>We believe that war is an inevitable consequence of the current global economic situation.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Larry Edelson wrote an email to subscribers entitled \u201cWhat the \u201cCycles of War\u201d are saying for 2013\u00e2\u20ac\u00b3, which states:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Since the 1980s, I\u2019ve been studying the so-called \u201ccycles of war\u201d \u2013 the natural rhythms that predispose societies to descend into chaos, into hatred, into civil and even international war.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m certainly not the first person to examine these very distinctive patterns in history. There have been many before me, notably, Raymond Wheeler, who published the most authoritative chronicle of war ever, covering a period of 2,600 years of data.<\/p>\n<p>However, there are very few people who are willing to even discuss the issue right now. And based on what I\u2019m seeing, the implications could be absolutely huge in 2013.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Former Goldman Sachs technical analyst Charles Nenner \u2014 who has made some big accurate calls, and counts major\u00a0<a id=\"_GPLITA_2\" title=\"Click to Continue &gt; by Text-Enhance\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2012\/11\/top-economic-advisers-forecast-widespread-war.html#\">hedge funds<\/a>, banks, brokerage houses, and high net worth individuals as clients \u2014\u00a0<a title=\"says\" href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/former-goldman-sachs-analyst-charles-nenner-major-war-2012-dow-5000-2011-3\" target=\"_blank\">says<\/a>\u00a0there will be \u201ca major war starting at the end of 2012 to 2013\u201d, which will drive the Dow to 5,000.<\/p>\n<p>Veteran investor adviser James Dines\u00a0<a title=\"forecast\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2013\/10\/www.marketwatch.com\/story\/dines-prophesies-war-2012-05-28?Link=obinsite\">forecast<\/a>\u00a0a war is epochal as World Wars I and II, starting in the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>Billionaire investor Jim Rogers\u00a0<a title=\"explains\" href=\"http:\/\/www.moneynews.com\/StreetTalk\/rogers-Europe-bailouts-war\/2012\/06\/22\/id\/443184\" target=\"_blank\">notes<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A continuation of bailouts in Europe could ultimately\u00a0<a id=\"_GPLITA_1\" title=\"Click to Continue &gt; by Text-Enhance\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2012\/11\/top-economic-advisers-forecast-widespread-war.html#\">spark<\/a>\u00a0another world war, says international investor Jim Rogers.<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAdd debt, the situation gets worse, and eventually it just collapses.\u00a0<strong>Then everybody is looking for scapegoats. And Brazilian president-elect Rousseff\u00a0<a title=\"said\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/cms\/s\/0\/326a6d62-e83d-11df-8995-00144feab49a.html\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a>\u00a0in 2010:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The last time there was a series of competitive devaluations \u2026 it ended in world war two.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Jim Rickards\u00a0<a title=\"agrees\" href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/blogs\/daily-ticker\/next-global-crisis-currency-wars-already-begun-rickards-142124909.html\" target=\"_blank\">agrees<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Currency wars lead to trade wars, which often lead to hot wars. In 2009, Rickards participated in the Pentagon\u2019s first-ever \u201cfinancial\u201d war games. While expressing confidence in America\u2019s ability to defeat any other nation-state in battle, Rickards says the U.S. could get dragged into \u201casymmetric warfare,\u201d if currency wars lead to rising inflation and global economic uncertainty.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>As does\u00a0<a title=\"says\" href=\"http:\/\/rt.com\/usa\/news\/china-trade-currency-bill-053\/\" target=\"_blank\">Jim Rogers<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Trade wars always lead to wars.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Martin Armstrong\u00a0<a title=\"wrote\" href=\"http:\/\/armstrongeconomics.com\/2013\/08\/21\/as-the-war-cycle-turns-up-middle-east-is-going-nuts\/\" target=\"_blank\">wrote<\/a>\u00a0in August:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Our greatest problem is\u00a0<strong>the bureaucracy wants a war<\/strong>. This will distract everyone from the NSA and justify what they have been doing.\u00a0<strong>They need a distraction for the economic decline that is coming<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Armstrong argued last month that war plans against Syria are really about\u00a0<a title=\"debt and spending\" href=\"http:\/\/armstrongeconomics.com\/2013\/09\/03\/14202\/\" target=\"_blank\">debt and spending<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Syrian mess seems to have people lining up on Capital Hill when sources there say the phone calls coming in are overwhelmingly against any action. The politicians are ignoring the people entirely. This suggests there is indeed a secret agenda to achieve a goal outside the discussion box. That is most like\u00a0<strong>the debt problem and a war is necessary to relief the pressure to curtail spending<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And given that many influential economists\u00a0<a title=\"wrongly believe\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2012\/02\/debunking-the-myth-that-war-is-good-for-the-economy-once-and-for-all.html\">wrongly believe<\/a>\u00a0that war is good for the economy \u2026 many are\u00a0<a title=\"overtly\" href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/article\/SB123008280526532053.html\" target=\"_blank\">overtly<\/a>\u00a0or quietly pushing for war.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, historians say that the risk of world war is rising\u00a0<a title=\"because the U.S. feels threatened by a rising China\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2014\/01\/risk-world-war-rising.html\">because the U.S. feels threatened by a rising China<\/a>\u00a0\u2026 and the U.S. government considers\u00a0<a title=\"threatening war against any nation which becomes an economic rival\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2011\/09\/does-the-american-government-consider-economic-rivalry-to-be-a-justification-for-war.html\">economic rivalry to be a basis for war<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Moreover, former Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan said that\u00a0<a title=\"the Iraq war was really about oil\" href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20071116211434\/http:\/\/www.timesonline.co.uk\/tol\/news\/world\/article2461214.ece\" target=\"_blank\">the Iraq war was really about oil<\/a>, and former Treasury Secretary Paul O\u2019Neill\u00a0<a title=\"says\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2004\/ALLPOLITICS\/01\/10\/oneill.bush\/\" target=\"_blank\">says<\/a>\u00a0that Bush planned the Iraq war before 9\/11. And see\u00a0<a title=\"this\" href=\"http:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/uk\/politics\/secret-memos-expose-link-between-oil-firms-and-invasion-of-iraq-2269610.html\" target=\"_blank\">this<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a title=\"this\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2012\/10\/the-wars-in-the-middle-east-and-north-africa-are-not-just-about-oil-theyre-also-about-gas.html\">this<\/a>. If that war was for petroleum, other oil-rich countries might be invaded as well.<\/p>\n<p>And the American policy of\u00a0<a title=\"using the military to contain China\u2019s growing economic influence\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2013\/01\/the-war-on-terror-spreads-to-africa-u-s-sending-troops-to-35-african-nations.html\">using the military to contain China\u2019s growing economic influence<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 and of considering\u00a0<a title=\"threatening war against any nation which becomes an economic rival\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2011\/09\/does-the-american-government-consider-economic-rivalry-to-be-a-justification-for-war.html\">economic rivalry to be a basis for war<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 are creating a tinderbox.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, multi-billionaire investor Hugo Salinas Price\u00a0<a title=\"told\" href=\"http:\/\/kingworldnews.com\/kingworldnews\/KWN_DailyWeb\/Entries\/2011\/10\/27_Multi-Billionaire_Salinas_-_Gaddafi_Killed_Over_Gold_Currency.html\" target=\"_blank\">says<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>What happened to [Libya&#8217;s] Mr. Gaddafi, many speculate the real reason he was ousted was that he was planning an all-African currency for conducting trade. The same thing happened to him that happened to Saddam because the US doesn\u2019t want any solid competing currency out there vs the dollar. You know Gaddafi was talking about a\u00a0<a id=\"_GPLITA_2\" title=\"Click to Continue &gt; by Text-Enhance\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2012\/01\/are-the-middle-east-wars-really-about-forcing-the-world-into-dollars-and-private-central-banking.html#\">gold<\/a>\u00a0dinar.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Indeed, senior CNBC editor John Carney\u00a0<a title=\"noted\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/id\/42308613\/Libyan_Rebels_Form_Their_Own_Central_Bank\" target=\"_blank\">noted<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Is this the first time a revolutionary group has created a central bank while it is still in the midst of fighting the entrenched political power?
