US generals planning revolt over Iran الولايات المتحدة جنرالات الثورة التخطيط حول ايران
A group of senior US military commanders have reportedly decided to resign, should the White House order a military strike against Iran. مجموعة من كبار القادة العسكريين الامريكيين قد قرروا الاستقالة ، وينبغي ان البيت الابيض من اجل توجيه ضربة عسكرية الى ايران.
The reports come as tension in the Persian Gulf region has raised fears that US President George W. Bush might order an attack on Iran before his term expires. تقارير يأت التوتر فى منطقة الخليج الفارسى وأثارت مخاوف من ان الرئيس الامريكى جورج دبليو بوش قد أجل شن هجوم على ايران قبل انتهاء فترة ولايته.
“There are four or five generals and admirals we know would resign if Bush ordered an attack on Iran,” a source with close ties with British intelligence services said. "هناك اربعة او خمسة من الجنرالات والقادة البحريات نعرف سيستقيل اذا امر بوش شن هجوم على ايران" ، اكد مصدر في علاقات وثيقة مع اجهزة المخابرات البريطانية وقال. “There is simply no stomach for it in the Pentagon, and a lot of people question whether such an attack would be effective or even possible.” "ببساطة لا توجد في المعده لأنها في البنتاغون ، والكثير من الناس فى مسالة ما اذا كان مثل هذا الهجوم لن يكون فعالا أو حتى ممكنا."
A British defense source confirmed that there were deep misgivings inside the Pentagon about a military strike. أ الدفاع البريطاني أكد المصدر ان هناك بعض المخاوف العميقه داخل البنتاغون حول ضربة عسكرية. “All the generals are perfectly clear that they don’t have the military capacity to take Iran on in any meaningful fashion. "جميع الجنرالات هم من الواضح تماما انه ليست لديهم القدرة العسكرية لايران على اتخاذ أي مغزى في الموضه. Nobody wants to do it and it would be a matter of conscience for them.” لا احد يريد ان يفعل ذلك وأنه سيكون مسألة ضمير لهم ".
The threat of a wave of resignations coincided with a warning by Vice-President Dick Cheney that all options, including military action, remained on the table. تهديد موجة من الاستقالات تزامنت مع تحذير نائب الرئيس ديك تشيني ان كل الخيارات ، بما فيها العمل العسكري ، ما زالت مطروحه على بساط البحث.
According to a report in The New Yorker magazine, the Pentagon has already set up a working group to plan airstrikes on Iran. ووفقا لتقرير في مجلة جديدة يوركر ، فان البنتاغون قد انشأ فريقا عاملا لخطة بشن ضربات جوية على ايران. The panel initially focused on destroying Iran’s nuclear facilities. الفريق ركز في البداية على تدمير منشآت ايران النووية.
However, army chiefs fear an attack on Iran would lead to a rise in oil prices and a full-blown regional war. ولكن الجيش رؤساء الخوف هجوم على ايران ، سيؤدي الى زيادة في اسعار النفط والكاملة في مهب حرب اقليميه.
