By بواسطة Michelle Shephard ميشيل shephard | The military judge in charge of the US war crimes trials at Guantanamo Bay is defending the removal of the army colonel who presided over Omar Khadr’s case as critics of the process and the Canadian suspect’s lawyers continue to cry foul. | القاضي العسكري في الولايات المتحدة المسؤول عن محاكمات جرائم الحرب فى خليج غوانتانامو هو الدفاع عن ازالة من الجيش برئاسة العقيد عمر خضر وقضية كما منتقدي عملية والكندي ومحامي المتهم ان تواصل البكاء خطأ.

In a statement yesterday, Marine Col. Ralph Kohlmann said Col. Peter Brownback was removed because the army had turned down an application to extend his active-duty status. في بيان امس ، العقيد البحري kohlmann وقال العقيد رالف بيتر brownback ازيلت لأن الجيش قد رفضت طلبا لتمديد النشط - واجب.

There’sa push from the Pentagon to have a trial completed before the Nov. 4 US presidential election in an effort to salvage Guantanamo’s tarnished reputation and criticism about the indefinite imprisonment of terrorism suspects without trial. ان هناك من يدفع البنتاغون الى المحاكمه انتهت قبل 4 تشرين الثاني / نوفمبر في الانتخابات الرءاسيه الاميركية في محاولة لانقاذ غوانتانامو التابعة لطخت سمعة والانتقاد غير مسمى السجن من دون محاكمة المشتبه فيهم بالارهاب.

Kohlmann’s comments yesterday did not end the debate. Kohlmann تعليقات امس لم تنته المناقشه. Soon after his statement was made public, Kuebler sent a press release saying the explanation “raised more questions than answers.” في وقت قريب بعد ان ادلى ببيان العامة ، kuebler ارسل بيان صحفى قائلا التفسير "تثير اسءله اكثر من الاجوبه".

“Brownback was the judge on one of the first two commission cases to go to trial – are we really supposed to believe that `manpower management considerations’ would cause the army to remove him from such a high-visibility, high-priority assignment?” he asked. "Brownback كان القاضي على واحد من اثنين من لجنة الحالات الاولى للذهاب الى المحاكمه -- هل نحن حقا من المفترض ان نرى ان اعتبارات ادارة القوى العاملة` 'من شأنه ان يتسبب في الجيش لاقصائه عن هذه الرءيه العالية ، ذات الاولوية العالية الاحاله؟" وسأل.
