UN rights chief urges probe into Gaza killings الامم المتحدة تحث رئيس الإنسان في غزة للبحث في عمليات القتل

The top UN human rights official, reacting to the recent violence between Israel and the Palestinians,has called for an investigation into the reported killing of dozens of civilians, including children, in Gaza by Israeli military. اعلى مسؤول للامم المتحدة لحقوق الانسان ، وكرد فعل على اعمال العنف الاخيرة بين اسرائيل والفلسطينيين ، قد دعا الى اجراء تحقيق في الابلاغ عن قتل العشرات من المدنيين ، بمن فيهم الاطفال ، في غزة من قبل الجيش الاسرائيلي.
While recognizing Israel’s right to defend itself, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Louise Arbour condemned the Israeli Defence Force’s “disproportionate use of force,” in a statement issued today in Geneva, which was also distributed at UN Headquarters in New York. ومع الاعتراف بحق اسرائيل في الدفاع عن نفسها ، المفوضه الساميه للامم المتحدة لحقوق الانسان لويز اربور ادان قوة الدفاع الاسرائيلية "الاستخدام غير المتناسب للقوة" ، فى بيان صدر اليوم في جنيف ، والتي وزعت ايضا في مقر الامم المتحدة في نيويورك .
“Israel, as the occupying power, bears a particular responsibility under international human rights and humanitarian law to protect the civilian population and civilian installations in Gaza,” the statement added. "إسرائيل ، بصفتها الدولة القائمة بالاحتلال ، يتحمل مسؤولية خاصة بموجب القانون الدولي لحقوق الانسان والقانون الانساني الدولي لحمايه السكان المدنيين والمنشآت المدنيه في قطاع غزة ،" واضاف البيان.
She called on the Israeli Government “to conduct impartial investigations into the killings of civilians, make the findings public and hold any perpetrators accountable.” ودعت الحكومة الاسرائيلية "لاجراء تحقيقات نزيهة في عمليات قتل المدنيين ، وتجعل النتائج العامة واجراء اي مساءلة مرتكبيها".
Ms. Arbour also strongly condemned the rocket attacks by Palestinian militants against Israeli civilian targets, stressing that they are in clear violation of international humanitarian law and “those responsible must be held to account.” السيدة آربور كما ادان بشدة الهجمات الصاروخيه من جانب المقاتلين الفلسطينيين ضد الأهداف المدنيه الاسرائيلية ، مشددة على انها تشكل انتهاكا واضحا للقانون الانساني الدولي و"اولئك المسؤولين يجب ان يحاسب."
The UN estimates that at least 59 Palestinians including 39 civilians were killed last Saturday in Gaza and hundreds more injured. تقديرات الامم المتحدة ان ما لا يقل عن 59 فلسطينيا من بينهم 39 مدنيا قد قتلوا السبت الماضي في غزة وجرح مئات آخرين. In addition, two Israeli soldiers are reported to have been killed in the fighting and an Israeli civilian was killed in Sderot following a rocket attack and at least five other civilians were injured in Ashkelon. وبالاضافة الى ذلك ، جنديين اسرائيليين وأفيد قد لقوا حتفهم فى القتال ومدني اسرائيلي قتل في سديروت فى اعقاب هجوم صاروخي على الاقل وخمسة مدنيين اخرين اصيبوا بجروح في عسقلان.
Both Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the Security Council which met in emergency session over the weekend have condemned the escalating violence in the Gaza Strip and southern Israel. كل من الامين العام بان كى مون ومجلس الأمن الذي اجتمع في جلسة طارئة خلال عطلة نهاية الاسبوع قد ادانت العنف المتصاعد فى قطاع غزة وجنوب اسرائيل.
