US Defence Secretary Robert Gates on Wednesday asked Congress to approve nearly $190 billion (94.3 billion pounds) more in spending for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. وزير الدفاع الامريكى روبرت غيتس يوم الاربعاء طلبت ان يوافق الكونجرس الامريكى على ما يقرب من 190 مليار دولار (94،3 مليار جنيه (اكثر في الانفاق على الحروب في العراق وافغانستان.

In prepared testimony to a Senate committee, Gates said the Bush administration sought the money for more training and equipment for the US military, including new armoured vehicles that give extra protection to troops against bomb blasts. في الشهاده المعده سلفا لاحدى لجان مجلس الشيوخ ، وقال غيتس ادارة بوش سعت المال لمزيد من التدريب والمعدات العسكرية الاميركية ل، بما فيها العربات المدرعه الجديدة التي تعطي حمايه اضافية ضد القوات الى عمليات تفجير القنابل.
