The Ministry of Defence has been accused of supplying “misleading propaganda” to schools and attempting to recruit pupils into the army.The children’s secretary, Ed Balls, has written to officials in the MoD asking them to investigate teachers’ claims that their worksheets for 16- to 18-year-olds provide a one-sided view on the war in Iraq. وزارة الدفاع قد اتهمت بتزويد "دعايه مضلله" الى المدارس ومحاولة لتجنيد التلاميذ في army.the الاطفال الامين ، الطبعه الكرات ، وبعثت الى المسؤولين في وزارة الدفاع طالبا منهم التحقيق المعلمين المطالبات ان اوراق العمل ل16 -- 18 سنة من العمر تقدم من جانب واحد بهدف على الحرب فى العراق.

The National Union of Teachers said the MoD was “unethically” targeting recruitment materials at schools in disadvantaged areas. الاتحاد الوطنى للمعلمين وقالت وزارة الدفاع كان "بشكل لا اخلاقي" تستهدف توظيف المواد في المدارس في المناطق المحرومه.

Steve Sinnott, the union’s general secretary, said: “It is propaganda, it does not present a balanced position. ستيف sinnott ، الامين العام للاتحاد ، وقال : "انها دعايه ، لا هذا موقف متوازن.

“When you are dealing with something as controversial as Iraq and different events which led up to the invasion, teachers are under an enormous duty to present material which is balanced.” "عندما أنت التعامل مع شيء كما جدل كما العراق ومختلف الأحداث التي أدت إلى الغزو ، والمعلمين قيد هاءله ماديه واجب هذا الذي هو متوازن".

One worksheet supplied by the MoD and designed by a private marketing company, Kids Connections, describes the UK force’s efforts in Iraq as mainly targeted at “helping the Iraqis to rebuild their country after the conflict and years of neglect”. واحد ورقة العمل المقدمة من وزارة الدفاع والمصممه من قبل شركة التسويق الخاصة ، وصلات اطفال ، ويصف الجهود التي تبذلها المملكه المتحدة القوة في العراق كما تستهدف اساسا "مساعدة العراقيين على اعادة بناء بلدهم بعد سنوات من الصراع والاهمال".

It describes the work the armed forces have done in security and reconstruction, and notes the 2005 democratic elections. وهو يصف عمل القوات المسلحه قامت به في تحقيق الأمن وإعادة البناء ، وتلاحظ 2005 انتخابات ديمقراطيه. But union officials said it failed to mention the US-led invasion, Iraqi civilian deaths and the fact that no weapons of mass destruction were ever found. ولكن الاتحاد قال مسؤولون ان التقرير لم يذكر الغزو التى تقودها الولايات المتحدة ، والقتلى في صفوف المدنيين العراقيين وعدم وجود اي اسلحه دمار شامل وتم العثور على من اي وقت مضى.

The NUT will debate the issue at its annual conference in Manchester next week. وقد جوز سوف نناقش المساله في مؤتمرها السنوي في مانشستر الاسبوع المقبل. Teachers are regularly sent model lesson plans, worksheets and other teaching materials by government departments, charities and private companies, but these are required by law to give a balanced political view. المعلمون بانتظام ارسلت خطط درس نموذجية ، واوراق العمل وغيرها من المواد التعليميه من قبل الادارات الحكوميه ، والجمعيات الخيريه والشركات الخاصة ، ولكن هذه هي يشترطها القانون لاعطاء وجهة نظر سياسية متوازنه. A report by the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust in January highlighted websites set up by the MoD targeted at 12- to 17-year-olds, but noted that some recruitment tactics targeted children as young as seven. في تقرير اعده جوزيف rowntree المبرات في كانون الثاني / يناير ابرز المواقع التي شكلتها وزارة الدفاع تستهدف 12 -- الى 17 من العمر ، ولكنها لاحظت ان بعض التكتيكات تجنيد الاطفال المستهدفين يزيد عمره على سبع سنوات. “Children are introduced to the potential benefits of a forces career, but not to its risks,” the report said. "الاطفال هم عرضه على الفوائد المحتملة للقوات الوظيفي ، ولكن ليس لمخاطرها ،" وذكر التقرير.

The union wrote to Balls in October expressing concern over the materials. الاتحاد كتب الي في تشرين الاول / اكتوبر الكرات واذ تعرب عن قلقها ازاء المواد. Balls in turn promised to take the issue up with MoD officials. الكرات بدوره وعد باتخاذ هذه المساله مع المسؤولين في وزارة الدفاع.

A motion to be discussed at the NUT conference would, if passed, commit the union to “actively opposing military recruitment activities in schools across England and Wales”. اقتراح ستناقش في المؤتمر من شأنه ان الجوز ، اذا مرت ، والالتزام الاتحاد الى "معارضة التجنيد العسكري بنشاط في انشطه المدارس فى جميع انحاء انجلترا وويلز". The Educational Institute of Scotland has already opposed military recruitment in Scotland. المعهد التعليمي للاسكتلندا بالفعل تعارض التجنيد العسكري في اسكتلندا.
