The Security Service says that the information could show terrorists where an attack on a dam might have the most impact. داءره الامن يقول ان المعلومات التي يمكن ان تظهر فيها الارهابيون هجوما على السد قد يكون له اكبر الأثر.
Experts in the Cabinet Office and the Environment Agency feel the time has come to make the information public, as the risk of major flooding rises with climate change. الخبراء في مجلس الوزراء ومكتب وكالة البيئة نشعر ان الوقت قد حان لإتاحة هذه المعلومات للجمهور ، كما من مخاطر الفيضانات الكبرى يزداد مع تغير المناخ. Just how grave the threat is was illustrated yesterday when it was revealed that record rainfall nearly caused a Yorkshire dam to fail, with catastrophic consequences. مدى خطورة التهديد ويتضح أمس عندما اتضح ان ما يقرب من سجل هطول الأمطار تسبب في سد يوركشر الى الفشل ، مع عواقب وخيمة.
The scale of an alert at Ulley reservoir, near Rotherham, emerged for the first time at the publication of the independent review by Sir Michael Pitt into the lessons from the 2007 floods. حجم تنبيه ulley في الخزان ، بالقرب من روثيرهام ، ظهرت لأول مرة في نشرة للاستعراض المستقل من قبل السير مايكل بيت الى الدروس المستفاده من الفيضانات عام 2007. He made 92 recommendations about future action, including setting up a joint Environment Agency-Met Office national flood warning centre within two years. وقال انه قدم 92 توصيات بشأن اتخاذ اجراءات في المستقبل ، بما في ذلك انشاء وكالة مشتركة للبيئة - اجتمع المكتب الوطني للمركز الانذار بالفيضانات في غضون سنتين.

The consequences of a collapse would have extended far beyond the immediate area. النتائج المترتبة على انهيار قد مددت الآن خارج المنطقة المباشره. According to Cabinet Office and Environment Agency sources, the Water Act 2003 had specified that the maps should be made public, but this had not happened after MI5 objected. ووفقا لمكتب مجلس الوزراء وكالة البيئة ومصادر المياه لعام 2003 على وجه التحديد ان كان ينبغي ان تكون الخرائط للجمهور ، ولكن ذلك لم يحدث بعد MI5 اعترض.
