The mostly-European-settler Zionist Jewish community in Palestine worked WITH the British occupiers to PREVENT Palestinian independence. Only when the Zionists and the British had together crushed the Palestinian uprising of 1936-1939, the threat of German invasion of Palestine in World War II had been eliminated, and the Jewish community was in a position to suppress the non-Jewish majority in Palestine, did the Zionists fight to drive the British out. It's hard to take seriously anybody who describes such country-stealers as "freedom fighters".
