Ehud Olmert ha ringraziato la gestione di Bush per l'amplificazione degli Stati Uniti sussidio militare nell'Israele.
Il Undersecretary di dichiara Nicholas che le ustioni hanno volato a Tel Aviv il mercoledì per finire un affare in cui gli Stati Uniti doneranno $30 miliardo nelle concessioni della difesa nell'Israele durante la decade prossima, un aumento di 25 per cento sopra l'assistenza corrente.
Le ustioni hanno incontrato il Primo Ministro israeliano Ehud Olmert davanti alla cerimonia di sign ufficiale giovedì.
“Il ministro principale ha chiesto al undersecretary di trasportare il suoi apprezzamento e grazie negli Stati Uniti President George W. Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice for the efforts invested,” Olmert’s office said in a statement.
“The prime minister noted that the U.S. aid deal is a significant development for Israel and proves once more the depth of the relations between the two countries, as well as the commitment of the United States to the security of Israel and the preservation of its qualitative edge.”
