Friday, June 27th, 2008 الجمعة ، يونيو 27th ، 2008 By بواسطة Doug Smith دوغ سميث | BAGHDAD — Nine Iraqi civilians were killed Wednesday in two armed clashes involving US soldiers, local authorities reported. | بغداد -- تسعة مدنيين عراقيين قتلوا اليوم الاربعاء في الاشتباكات المسلحه التي تنطوي على اثنين من الجنود الامريكيين ، وافادت السلطات المحلية. The military said US soldiers were fired upon first in both incidents. وقال الجيش الاميركي اطلقت النار على الجنود الاولى فى كلا الحادثين.
In the capital, three people were killed in a fiery crash after gunfire erupted as their vehicle passed US soldiers with a convoy stopped near the Baghdad international airport to recover a stalled vehicle. في العاصمة ، قتل ثلاثة اشخاص في حادث تحطم الناري لاطلاق النار اندلع بعد ما مرت سيارتهما مع الجنود الامريكيين توقفت القافلة بالقرب من مطار بغداد الدولي لاسترداد توقفت السياره.
Officials at Yarmouk Hospital identified the dead as a manager and two female employees from a bank at the airport. مسؤولون في مستشفى اليرموك وحدد مدير قتلى واثنين من العاملات من احد البنوك فى المطار. Iraqi police also reported that two bodyguards were injured. كما افادت الشرطة العراقية ان اثنين من الحراس الشخصيين اصيبوا بجروح.
A statement from the US military characterized the three as criminals who opened fire on the military convoy about 9 am The statement said that the assault left bullet holes in the US vehicles and that a weapon was recovered from the wreckage. بيان من الولايات المتحدة العسكرية تتسم الثلاثة بانهم مجرمون من فتح النار على قافلة عسكرية حوالى الساعة 9 صباحا وقال البيان ان الاعتداء ترك ثقوب الرصاص في الولايات المتحدة والمركبات والأسلحة التي تم استردادها من الحطام.
The conflicting information in the two reports could not be immediately reconciled. تضارب المعلومات الواردة في التقريرين على الفور انه لا يمكن التوفيق بينها.
In east Baghdad, a roadside bomb killed one American soldier Wednesday, the US military announced today. فى شرق بغداد قنبلة على جانب احدى الطرق قتل جندى امريكى واحد يوم الاربعاء ، اعلن الجيش الاميركي اليوم. At least 4,110 US service members have died since the war began in 2003, according to 4110 الولايات المتحدة على الاقل من افراد هذه الخدمة لقوا حتفهم منذ بدء الحرب فى عام 2003 ، وفقا لل icasualties.org .
Earlier Wednesday outside Tikrit, about 80 miles north of Baghdad, six people were killed and three injured in and near a farmhouse that was destroyed in a US airstrike, police said. خارج تكريت في وقت سابق الاربعاء ، حوالي 80 ميلا شمال بغداد ، قتل ستة اشخاص واصيب ثلاثة اخرون في وبالقرب من المزرعه التي دمرت في الولايات المتحدة airstrike ، وقالت الشرطة. A US ground patrol called in the strike after coming under fire. دورية امريكيه في أرض الواقع ودعا في الاضراب بعد المقبلة لاطلاق النار.
Police said the farmer, Affar Ahmed Zidan, heard the patrol outside about 2:30 am and fired three warning shots in the air, thinking the soldiers were thieves. وقالت الشرطة ان المزارع ، affar أحمد زيدان ، واستمع الدوريه خارج عن 2:30 صباحا واطلق ثلاث طلقات تحذيريه في الهواء ، للتفكير وكان هؤلاء الجنود لصوص.
Zidan then phoned police for help while hiding under a tree, saying he feared the Americans would bomb him, police said. زيدان ثم كلم الشرطة للمساعدة في حين ان يختبئ تحت شجرة ، وقال انه يخشى الامريكيون من شأنه ان القنبله له ، وقالت الشرطة.
A neighbor, Tariq Azzawi, said Zidan was killed beside the tree and his wife and three children were killed in the house. جار ، طارق azzawi ، وقال زيدان قتل بجوار شجرة وزوجته وثلاثة أطفال قتلوا في المنزل. The hospital raised the toll to six. المستشفى آثار الخسائر الى ستة.
A statement from the US military said the patrol was fired upon and surveillance teams observed an armed man moving into a nearby group of buildings. بيان من الولايات المتحدة ان دورية عسكرية اطلقت النار على وفرق الترصد لاحظ رجل مسلح الانتقال الى مجموعة من المباني القريبه. The airstrike was ordered when he refused to come out. وقد صدر امر airstrike عندما رفض الخروج.
The man was killed and four women were slightly injured, but a thorough search did not reveal any other deaths, the statement said. وقد قتل رجل واربع نساء بجروح طفيفة ، ولكن تفتيش شامل لم تكشف عن اي وفيات اخرى ، وجاء في البيان.
Civilian deaths at the hands of the US military and private security contractors are a nagging cause of resentment with the Iraqi public and have become a sticking point in negotiations on an agreement to allow US-led forces to remain in Iraq after the United Nations mandate expires at the end of the year. مقتل مدنيين على يد الولايات المتحدة العسكرية والأمنية الخاصة المتعاقدين هي القضية الملحه من الاستياء مع الرأي العام العراقي واصبحت العقبة في المفاوضات بشأن ابرام اتفاق للسماح القوات التى تقودها الولايات المتحدة على البقاء فى العراق بعد انتهاء ولاية الامم المتحدة في نهاية السنة.
The Iraqi government is seeking legal jurisdiction in all cases involving injury or death to Iraqis. الحكومة العراقية تسعى الولايه القضاءيه في جميع الحالات التي تنطوي على الاصابة او الوفاه الى العراقيين. US negotiators are willing to allow private security contractors to come under Iraqi law, but not the military. مفاوضو الولايات المتحدة على استعداد للسماح لالمقاولين الامن الخاصة العراقية تأتي في إطار القانون ، ولكن ليس العسكرية.
Elsewhere in Iraq on Wednesday, a Mosul City Council member and his driver were fatally shot in an ambush. وفى اماكن اخرى فى العراق يوم الاربعاء ، عضو مجلس مدينة الموصل وسائقه وكانت قاتلة اطلاق النار في كمين نصب له. A car bomb went off near an ice cream shop in east Baghdad, killing three and injuring seven, police said. سيارة انفجرت قنبلة قرب متجر الآيس كريم في شرق بغداد ، ما اسفر عن مقتل ثلاثة وجرح سبعة ، وقالت الشرطة. And two people were killed and four people were injured in Karbala when a bomb detonated in a microbus. وقتل شخصان وأصيب أربعة أشخاص فى كربلاء عندما انفجرت قنبلة في microbus.
In Washington, Iraqi President Jalal Talabani met with President Bush in the White House. في واشنطن ، الرئيس العراقي جلال طالباني اجتمع مع الرئيس بوش في البيت الابيض.
Talabani’s office released a statement saying he praised Bush as “a great friend of the Iraqi people” and pledged to work toward a security agreement between the two countries. الافراج عن مكتب طالباني بيانا جاء فيه واشاد بوش بانه "صديقا كبيرا للشعب العراقى" وتعهد العمل لاتفاقيه امنية بين البلدين.

The US military habitually lies about coming under fire when it massacres Iraqis. العسكرية الاميركية عادة تبعد حوالى القادمة لاطلاق نار عندما مذابح العراقيين. Look at what happened in the Haditha massacre and the Fallujah massacre, where 14 unarmed protesters were killed by machine gun fire. انظروا الى ما حدث في مذبحة حديثة ومذبحة الفلوجة ، حيث 14 من المتظاهرين غير المسلحين قتلوا على ايدي نيران الرشاشات.
